Im not talking about the board here when I say hard years of work. I am talking about the likes of Langton Rusere who has umpired a womens final. You would have killed his dreams. The womens team who barely get paid anything decent but dedicated their lives to this cause. You are sentencing them instead of Mukuhlani who has his own business and will receive a nice vehicle from the GVT soon as an MP.
This is not about whats wrong or who is wrong its about sentencing to die the wrong people. Hundreds of them. Sanctions never put the elite on the streets in whatever arena. Its the poor/employees who suffer. You think Bvute Mukuhlani and co are going to go broke or find the next gravy train?
To settle this the SRC should do a secret poll and get all stakeholders to vote whether they are willing to lose their jobs so that Mlotshwa can massage his ego. Is the SRC board clean of corruption itself? What if you are going to replace 1 set of thieves with another.
Heck admin should just set up a poll here on this forum and we will see what people really think
#ZCBOARD MUST GO
Re: #ZCBOARD MUST GO
The women have hardly dedicated their lives to this
I know schoolboys who’ve hit more balls than that ladies team combined times 10.
They will go one one tour/holiday, get soundly beaten by the big teams and come back here to what? Is there a women’s league that plays every week where they get paid a liveable salary? There’s only 30 of them. C’mon there’s more at stake here than making sure they have fun over the next couple of months.
Sanctions? C’mon bud. They’re individual sanctions and nobody but nobody has felt their ill-effects. The economy has had been raped of billions and those rapists have spun that so people believe the evil West is responsible for the hardship we’re experiencing.
There’s an SRC board, a minister, a ministry and an interim board that I’m 100% certain can overrule Mlotshwa, but they’re not.
We know about polls, votes and elections. They don’t work. People will vote for a coke and a bun today instead of two cokes tomorrow. That’s why we’re in this position.

Re: #ZCBOARD MUST GO
This is terribly sad, poor umpire lost his job for not fault of his own. What next for him?
I don't know, I agree SRC have good intensions and all that, but this is not working out, honestly.

Re: #ZCBOARD MUST GO
Yes this current SRC board is clean. Might not be next month/year, but currently they’re about the most solid lot I’ve seen.
Re: #ZCBOARD MUST GO
Let’s roll over so Langton can umpire.
Re: #ZCBOARD MUST GO
But this impacting a lot of lives Google. This is not working out.
What I'm actually dissappointed about is that SRC or the interim board didn't have a plan B, they just hoped ICC will accept them, that didn't happen, and now it's not looking good at all.

Re: #ZCBOARD MUST GO
Why shouldn't the spotlight be on the ICC then?
They are the ones that control the purse strings, it's ultimately up to them whether the people in Zimbabwe keep their jobs in cricket or not.
Re: #ZCBOARD MUST GO
If they didn’t have a Plan B they would have backed off.
Otherwise you’re saying Minister Coventry, Dr Chiura, Mrs De Jong, Ellman Brown etc are people with an agenda that would rather cricket just stopped. I don’t believe that for one second.
If there’s no plan B we will know within 10 days I reckon.

Re: #ZCBOARD MUST GO
I hindsight, would all this have happened, If Zimbabwe had qualified for World Cup, which they probably might have had it not been for rain? Streak would not have been removed, rising stars would have continued, and until that time things were definitely looking good for Zimbabwe. That one day changed everything.
Honestly Zimbabwe cricket team isn't that bad, other nations have improved significantly, we are talking about the likes of Scotland beating England and Sri Lanka, the likes of Ireland giving England and Pakistan a run for their money in test matches. Afghanistan beating the likes of West Indies and giving a run to all major teams.
Zimbabwe is at par with those nations, even beat Bangladesh in a test match last year.
