Wellington is a specialist spinner, but what does he offer that Williams and Burl can't? He's been our most consistent spinner for sure, but is it enough to justify a spot?
The top spinners have some good variations that they land consistently as well. Unless you've got those then you'd better be landing them in no man's land 6 out of 6 like Utseya used to. You are a container not a wicket taker.
A leggie, by default is allowed the odd shit delivery but makes up for it with more turn. Burl could be excellent. Does he practice enough? Why didn't he bowl yesterday?
Evans used to be able to bowl offies and leggies !! Talented guy

Here's some astonishing trivia- Proctor's best figures in
Currie Cup were 9 for 71 in 1972 against Transvaal.
Bowling off-spin!!! Fuck knows the circumstances but that blew my head when I was told that. I didn't believe it, took a 20 buck bet and lost

Chivanga hitting 145??? Damn that's quick. Thought he'd be a Hugh 130s bowler like Ngarava. Blessing has also clocked close to 145.

Blessing was consistently mid 130's against Sri Lanka and Afghanistan this year. About the same as Ngarava.

Chivanga much quicker but it's useless when he's spraying it about like a hosepipe.

Haha Aliseni was fucking dynamite when he first came on the scene! Serious gas. But sprayed it around, and didn't do much with his actual pace. Also he got fat and had issues off the field. Nice guy though, came across as very intelligent when I once met him. Wonder what he's up to nowadays?!

Think I remember seeing him post on the forum years ago

Some guys top pace isn't much higher than their stock ball. Then others have the capability to bowl decently quick but their average pace is 10-12 km slower.

Vermeulen once said he could clock 150, and vaguely I remember the man himself bragging about it here or Facebook (used to actively post on both platforms) but I’ll take that with a huge grain of salt. I’ll say maybe a 140 bowler, which would feel like 150 next to the late 120s rest of the field.

Kriterion said Blessifn clocked 145, has he? I knew he hit 140 but never recall him hitting those heights.
