Seriously, what has happened to the standard of club cricket in Bulawayo? No batsman coming through in any of the three sides, Tuskers having to bring guys from the capital to make themselves competitive. Mutare is miles ahead in terms of talent and quality.

Quite a lot of decent u19’s and school cricketers from Bulawayo at the moment but for sure their senior clubs have fell off the pace.

Good on Bechani for making both lists, don't know much about him, how good is he?

He's a spinner, has been near the top of the wicket-taking charts of the last several NPL's/NPL T20's. Played a few times for Tuskers but not had a consistent run of it.

Match abandoned (Kadoma forfeited)



There was an unfortunate scene at Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo on Saturday when Kadoma forfeited their NPL match against Amakhosi.



Kadoma were put in to bat and were soon in trouble.



Two wickets fell in quick succession at 30, and the next man in, Brandon Mavuta, was caught unprepared.



He was too late to appear at the wicket and after he was given ‘timed out’, he allegedly refused to leave the field, eventually forcing the umpires to call off play and award the match to Amakhosi.



Disciplinary proceedings have since commenced.

Mavuta did not play in Kadoma's match yesterday, so I presume he has been suspended.
