How quick is he exactly.
Is this super speed thing reality or a myth?

About 140
Re: Nigeria and Uganda tour of zimbabwe
Hard to say, my 10c worth is he can probably crank it up to 145 maybe. I'd say his stock ball must be around 135-138. He needs to get angry. He just lacks control unless he's having a good spell. He's a man mountain. Strong as an ox, I would not piss him off under any circumstances
Our strongest guy is TK the batsman- K-Long. He's a beast. He looks like he might be a bit porky but rest assured its muscle.
Thank God he's a wonderful guy. I dunno if he ever played rugby? If they had a cricket strong man comp he'd be a contender.
Richie Ngarava can probably occasionally get it to around 145 as well, but again his stock ball is probably similar. TK gets more bounce, Richie slides thru the crease, has a really really ugly bouncer. He works hard and is improving, has a higher ceiling than we've seen so far.
Blessing is probably 135-138 without too much effort, but steep bounce and definitely gets it to nip around a lot more.
That's just my take without remembering what the speed gun says. We're damned lucky to have Richie and Blessing. We'd be really poorly placed without them. They're both wicket taking bowlers that can trouble most batters.
Ya I'd have TK ahead of Carl. Carl looks like he can bowl quick, seriously impressive looking human, but is a yard slower than he looks and again currently has poor control.
Carl can bat a bit. I've got a feeling they'll go with Carl.
We have a number of seamers with height that are reasonably athletic yet don't get it much above 130. Evans is the same, not too tall, a tremendous athlete and yet not quick, but he bowls really tidily. By far and away our most accurate seamer. It's a strange thing that we don't have quite a few quick guys, also odd that we don't have blokes with more control. That has to be partly a function of guys just not having that stock delivery, they're always trying something different and looking for that wicket taking delivery. If you contain the wickets will come.
Brad Evans is going to have some work to do when he gets back from injury. Poor timing for him.

Baxton and antum currently engineering a good partnership.
Re: Nigeria and Uganda tour of zimbabwe
Again I'm confused how we didn't pick a couple of Zim batters to play so they could have a look. These blokes are clearly decent bowlers.
If the legendary Knackerville can only manage run a ball then what are mere mortals supposed to do?

Re: Nigeria and Uganda tour of zimbabwe
We are in a proper scrap these qualifiers.
OK our excellent twin towers of blessing and ngarava didn't take part or our international batsmen bar K long but the fact that takashinga can get embarrassed like that is concerning.

It's really worrying though when the likes of uganda and nigeria get the better of teams mostly filled with franchise players.

Interesting that musekiwa isn't playing for takashinga. Wonder if he is in camp?
That's a boy who can smoke some sixes. A 20/20 bat if ever there was one. Very green though.

Uganda are a decent side, I would expect them to brush aside takashinga.Crastle_cog wrote: ↑Wed Nov 15, 2023 12:32 pmIt's really worrying though when the likes of uganda and nigeria get the better of teams mostly filled with franchise players.
This isn't even a full strength Uganda side they are missing their best bowlers.
Nigeria are more of par with the franchise players though.
Re: Nigeria and Uganda tour of zimbabwe
I doubt Musekiwa is in the national squad, he'd have been selected for the Namibian friendlies first.
Once again its very very very very very very hard to comprehend why the Zim batters didn't get a look at the guys they're about to face. Just put one of them in per game, that's the top 5. There's still room for the senior takashinga statesmen to enjoy themselves and ignore Musekiwa who is one of the few actual prospects we have.
