It’s a massacre.

Entire coaching staff removed, I hear.

Williams has retired…

Maybe an unpopular opinion but makes sense for Williams to retire. 37 years old, 2026 T20 World Cup Qualifiers the next shot, right for him to retire now and give new guys a shot at numbers 3/4 (no point him playing one more year).

Ervine is also retiring.

Not surprising at all.

I'm happy Hamilton is removed. Houghton could have been retained but the decision to send Wellington at 6 and continuously playing 8-9 bowlers could have been fatal in his case.

I hope Williams and Ervine stick around.

It’s weird. Two of our all time greats retiring and another of our all time greats removed from his coaching job and weirdly I’m not overly that fussed.

This past week has been horrific. Just kinda numb to everything in Zim cricket at the moment.

This sounds mad but I am actually quite excited by the thought of the next few years, we have been banking on the same guys in the batting department for too long. We will now get a chance to see if any of the youngers can step up.

Mad to think that Ryan Burl is likely to be our most experienced batter.

We are in for some really tough times but the truth is this had to happen. We have to look towards the future. There is a 24 month window to suffer and get our shit together.

Real frying pan. No more hiding for the younger players.
