Zimbabwe hasnt had so many players waiting the wings for so long. At one point we all wondered who we would turn to after Taylor, Hamilton, Ervine, Williams go. Will Zim be world beaters hell no they have never been. Will they be able to put out a respectable 11 on the park going forward? It certainly looks that way.

Warm-up and tour fixtures have largely died a death worldwide unfortunately.

Wellington is suffering for his brother's sins. He isn't bad at all. Maybe people feel his presence blocks some other guys from ever getting a decent chance. Maybe Ainsley who is a similar profile and Mavuta who for me has a much higher ceiling than Wellington although he is isn't the same type of spinner. We also see Wellington not bowling his full quota multiple times. Williams can do his job.

Give Mavuta 5 series in a row to prove himself the way Wellington has basically had 5 years to find his feet

As stated by many here, he is a very sound guy and a serious cricketer, he has actually started hitting the ball out of the park regularly these past few months and people are quick to dismiss him. He is still quiet young in cricketing terms and he can have a great 5-7 years if he keeps the grind. Defo does not seem fazed by the noise though, very level headed guy who just wants to be the best version of himself.

This is the one way in which you can have some sympathy with the likes of Mawoza. The whole, "where is Cumball and Rayan Merry" thing must be incredibly boring, and unsurprisingly causes an equal and opposite reaction in the other direction.
