In a recent past a frequent question was what future of Zimbabwe without Ervine, Williams, Raza.
Today a splendid win without Ervine, Williams and a negligible contribution by Raza.

Always happy to see a last ball win in t20. Fun stuff

Re: Zimbabwe vs Afghanistan | 1st t20 | 11 December 2024
Great win for Zim today I'm guessing we will see the same team in the next game. We definitely could have done it in a cleaner way. Musekiwa the finisher he will play the next 100 games
CHRISTOPHER MPOFU: 'The problem was fear of failure. I used to think that when I played, if I didn't do well in one game, I would lose my place for the next one but now I've let go of that'

Some of the ages of the Afghan guys.
Zazai is apparently 26, Janat 26 as well. Both are at least 30.

Yeah but Mohammad Nabi is 83 or 84 and still smashing boundaries and taking wickets!

Great win , alot of pressure on Bennett at the moment , imagine if N.Welch batted at 3 , Myers 4, Raza 5 , Burl 6 and Musekiwa 7 . Poor old Wes is the weakest link and having him and Burl at 5 and 6 is a real concern.

The Zimby's are in full flow.
TM still has to convince that he can handle spin. One decent innings, which started very shakily and the trumpets come out. It's one of the reasons why we are in such trouble. There are 2 games to go in the T20's and I guarantee he will bat both times. I also guarantee both games will be tougher than this one. Unless he gets lucky they'll bowl spin at him to keep him quiet. I doubt he was even on their radar prior to this. They'll do some homework now.
Bear in mind he had 3 very poor innings against Pakistan, as did everyone else.
Nobody but nobody is willing the guy to fail! Thats their very ugly sleight of hand, turning this into a black vs white thing. Its categorically not. We all are desperate to be taken seriously as a cricket team again. People are merely doubting some player's abilities at this level and we KNOW there are better options. Not all of them are white either, but they've made them white
Well the big one is actually the ridiculous number of opportunities some guys get. Musekiwa is not one of them...yet. But with that one innings he has penned himself in to potentially be. He needs to keep performing one in three times and not one in twenty.
It's ZC and their tiny handful of supporters that are creating this animosity with the public. The poor selections have plagued us for a long time, you can't hide it or justify it with one win.
Why can't Zolsky post- a shaky start but Musekiwa showed a lot of composure to get us over the line with some unbelievable running and some well weighted shots. Let's hope he grows in confidence and can carry this into the next two games.
Does he want to regain some credibility or does he want to keep playing to his 20 strong adoring and poisonous audience?
Instead- the Pink Rhodesians must be getting chest pains, the selectors know what they're doing, black players are being undermined etc etc. This is not Rhodesia!, We will never be a colony again! (Except a Chinese one)
Jeez give it a rest.
Bear in mind 99% of the racist comments come from the sub-continent, not from here. Don't tar us with that same brush
