Falao looks to be playing in the academy and A side?
He bowled really well yesterday. He went off the boil for a while but seems to be bowling much better line and length.
He could be a bit quicker though with that nice smooth action.
The Canadians surprisingly capitulated. It will be interesting to see them bowl. They've got a good seamer.

I'm sure he has. He's a good batsman. If his bowling was more threatening he'd be competing for that seaming all-rounder spot for sure. Nobody at that age suddenly gets quicker though, he's going to have to work on line and length and good variations.
There's lots of talk about batting in your correct position. They were saying Marumani was used to opening so couldn't be successful at 7. That's unconvincing for me. If there is a big adjustment it's certainly a lot easier to move down the order than up.
My point is Frost is essentially now batting up the order and trying to make it as a pure batsman, that's a tall order, he's going to have to do extremely well for a sustained period. There are now some good players vying for very limited spots. His best chance is to really work on his bowling as well.
Mike Frost has huge potential as a left arm orthodox, he's been done a big disservice at Mountaineers. He's also a decent bat, but not at the same level as his brother, but he'd have an easier time of it making teams off of his bowling than Ali off of his batting.
It's become extremely competitive and there are a lot of players with similar abilities.

I'm glad to see Evans in the roster.
He made a few appearances a couple of years ago then he disappeared because of injury.
Anyone has news if he is fully fit now?

I get that Maruma is apparently having a decent domestic season, but the man is almost 37. Has had plenty of opportunities at the international level and has always failed. It is absolutely pointless for him to be in the A-side. If you want to, bring him in as a non playing player to help with guidance and support if he is good at that, but he should not be taking a spot from a youngster.

Is Mayavo the only keeper in this squad or is Welch genuinely an option with the gloves? Has Madande not recovered? That is an issue which needs a resolution. Our weakest point at the moment

U can't have Raza, Craig, Sean and BT at 38 in the side and say Maruma can't compete surely? What's good for the goose...
He's an unbelievably talented batsman, it's one of life's mysteries why he hasn't taken to international cricket, but we have a few guys in that boat. That pressure gets to a lot of our guys.
He's not likely to make the national side any longer, but ZC like rewarding the stalwarts with A games. It's interesting that he's there because he's been at loggerheads with ZC recently. They prefer to reward undying loyalty.
MW is a much better batsman than Mayavo and is a good keeper. I'm sure he's still waiting for an explanation as to why he was keeping ahead of Gumbie and now Magodo is the keeper.
He's got great hands, but probably is a bit untidy, but could be brought up to speed in no time. Maybe they don't want him to compete with Maru, Mayavo, Madande and Gumbie?
Chatara should be in that side ahead of Masuku in my opinion. If BT is around this would be a good opportunity for him, ahead of Knackers. You're either a Zimbabwean or you aren't. When he gets his papers let him play.
Makoni has had a good red ball season, he's a decent player, but his white ball has been shite this year, but we know there are more exceptions to their own rules than not.
Will BT keep in white ball? That would change the selection big time!!!
Jongwe is an interesting one. If we continue to see the same old Luke trundling in 20kg overweight and relying on a golden arm and his innate talent with the bat he's wasting Zim's time. Those days are gone surely? He needs to be competing with Higgins and Evans if he wants a spot, currently he's nowhere near Higgins. Evans is a better bowler, but Luke is a better batsman.
Chiorah needs to be coached!! Lots of ability but his technique is nowhere. I just don't see him being able to play his natural game against tight bowling. He gets a loose ball and he throws his bat at it, what happens when he doesn't get a loose ball?
Musekiwa has gone from being the best finisher in Zim, according to ZC, to being out of favor. He's a decent player for sure. ZC have to stop putting labels on guys and when they eventually have a good innings or two say "told you so"
We need guys who have a big innings every 3 games and not every 10 or 30 He's thereabouts, but he's not our best finisher by any stretch.
Where's Bhawa? I'm assuming he's not around. Now there's a good player!!
We got shown up against Pakistan and Afghanistan not being able to play spin. What's being done about that?
