Re: Match Thread - Zimbawe v Bangladesh 1st Test
Could not follow anything yesterday, but great solid effort fron the skipper and the tail. Kudos to Taylor, Cremer, Shingi and Meth for ensuring a very good score on day 2. Bangladesh can certainly overhaul this with their form and quality in the middle order, but we can get on their nerves too. We have to dry up the runs, there is no second thought there. Cremer must be ready to bowl some tight defensive lines if needed. Best way to frustrate them if we don't get early wickets through Jarvis would be to have the two Masakadzas operate. We can forget about Chigumbura's bowling and focus on Hamilton for tightening the screws.

My predictions for tomorrow: Bang will be bundled out for 289 giving us a 100 run lead.jimbo wrote:My predictions for tommorow
Bangladesh will be bundled out for 330 odd giving zim a 60 run lead. Few wickets in the morning session followed by a strong rearguard action from shakib

@Dogg, Chatara's fear was a very bad look. If that contributed to him being left out then I hope he learns from it and comes back.

Meth strikes
Slipping in the surprise in-swinger has worked!
He has settled down this morning, bowling much better, and that's well deserved.

Well done Meth, first wicket, I think LBWs might be his go.

Wow ... we just gave ZIM total control here.
Granted 90% of our batting strength is still there.

Great stuff by Meth, showing that he can take wickets at test level (even if it is only against Bangladesh)
