That was a different thread! And not many names came through. This photo deserves to be in this thread :)

So, let us continue guessing...

top row: 1)Conan Brewer?
Bottom row: 7)Jordane Nicolle

What are the odds that bottom row 2) is Charles Coventry? :D :D

While we wait for answers / deciphering of faces for bayhaus' questions, here is a question on a photo that is most recent:

363. Here's that 2nd bald guy from left on the bottom row of the previous pic in a recent event. Can you find more details about this? This pic also has another international cricketer.

That's Choppa 'look at my hair now' Coventry and an Irish player (of Kiwi extraction) called Peter Connell in Dubai: http://www.daijiworld.com/news/news_dis ... _id=192033 :)

I had read somewhere on this forum that Coventry would be playing club cricket in Dubai for a few months (so he will at least miss the start of the franchise season) and "Charles Coventry" + "Dubai" directly sent me to this website.

About the team photo: Obviously this has something to do with the team for the U-19s WC in NZ in 2002. I can't find a squad list anywhere and we have now named all the guys who actually played a match there, but looking a bit further I came across a report about a tour by Natal U-19s to Zim, just a few months earlier, where the enigmatic Andrew Durham is mentioned. So he might be one of the missing faces. http://www.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/match/97650.html

Coventry and Hashim Amla both hit big centuries in that match.

Yup, in Dubai at the launch of Mangalore Cricket Club. Coventry would be taking up coaching position at Heath Streak Academy. So, don't count on him playing this season at all.

So, one of the three question marks is definitely Andrew Durham, but we don't know who. I would be betting on top row rightmost. Middle row 3rd is most probably Simon Seager then.

top row: Brewer?, Mangongo, ?? , Durham?
middle: Brundle, Mwayenga, Seager?, Chigumbura, Mbwembwe?, Taylor, Marisa
bottom: ?? , Coventry, Ervine, Taibu, Matsikenyeri, Masakadza, Nicolle.

So that changes quite a few things in the equation then. This photo has 14 players, and has Brundle (as Googly updated us) and Seager (I'm almost certain on that one) who did not go to the WC, and it does not have Sharezad Omarshah (at least) who did go. So, this is not the WC squad, but one that was very close to that one, may be the one toured SA? Even then the squad is incomplete.

Anyway, here's what we know now, left to right:

Top row- non-playing staff: Bradley Robinson (son of umpire Ian, and I felt he indeed looked more familiar than Brewer), Steve Mangongo, Wyn Justin-Smith (his obituary and another photo here: http://xcbc.tripod.com/), Steve Rhodes the English Keeper.

Middle row: Michael Brundle, Waddington Mwayenga, Simon Seager, Elton Chigumbura, Alfred Mbwembwe, Brendan Taylor, Stanley Marisa

Bottom row: Conan Brewer, Charles Coventry, Sean Ervine, Tatenda Taibu, Stuart Matsikenyeri, Hamilton Masakadza, Jordane Nicolle

The only question mark I have now is Simon Seager, that guy could very well be Andrew Durham.
