Kriterion_BD wrote:So you have no ZIM roots? Interesting. We have a couple of Aussie supporters over at BC...one of whom left several years back so now its just the one. At least I'm pretty sure he's straight up Australian. But the most unlikely supporter we had was a fellow named Xavier from Rome, Italy. An Italian who was a Bangladesh cricket fanatic. No idea how he even came to know about cricket. We also had a Slavic fellow, but was married to a Bangladeshi woman, and didn't give a rat's ass about cricket...just joined the forum to learn about BD culture. He left because apparently his wife thought he was spending too much time on BC, lmao.jaybro wrote:Kriterion_BD wrote:Just curious what the racial makeup of ZCF? Im Australian with Maltese decent so neither for me, I'm totally un-biased![]()

Yeah no roots or reasons to follow Zimbabwe, but the first time I seen them play in Australia in 2000 or 2001 I fell in love and have been trapped ever since .....

foreignfield is from Germany - with no links to Zimbabwe or cricket I believe. And Dr.Situ and I are from India, nothing to do with Zim the country - we are die hard Zim fans too. No race issues when we discus here

No second thoughts, Zim of courseKriterion_BD wrote:OK so next question...ZIM vs IND who do you support? Same for AUS and jaybro.

In fact after the gentlemen cricketers like Srinath, Kumble, Dravid and Sachin retired, I rarely follow the Indian team these days (unless its against Zim). So, I mostly support the opposition when they play against India (except Pak, may be - now with Grant Flower as their batting coach, even that might change)

As a Bangladeshi fan its almost natural for us to hate India...but we admire the stature of the cricket team. Always have. But Dravid, Tendy were truly honorable cricketers. Unparalleled. Guys like First Kohli and Sreesanth are truly loathe some personalities. I used to love PAK after BD...my very first cricket memory is Vaas cleaning up Ganguly in the 1997 independence cup. I had no idea what cricket was, being an American. My second memory was Saeed Anwar's 194 in the same tourney. From then on I supported Pak except when they played BD. Today, I couldn't tell you which team I hate more India or PAK...since both have such annoying fans. But I will say, SL are the boringest team to watch or follow!CrimsonAvenger wrote:No second thoughts, Zim of courseKriterion_BD wrote:OK so next question...ZIM vs IND who do you support?
