[Match Thread] Afghanistan v Zimbabwe: 2nd ODI
Will there be an upset tomorrow? Will the minnows from Zimbabwe take on the mighty Afghans and get an unlikely win?

Both Hami and Panny should play tomorrow. We should play both of them in remaining of the matches.
Chibabha
PJ
Hami
Ervine
Chigs
Raza
Waller
Jongwe
Cremer
Wellington
Panny
Our batting still looks weak with this lineup. We are going to miss Williams terribly in the middle order

Re: [Match Thread] Afghanistan v Zimbabwe: 2nd ODI
We are f**ked another defeat and I can only see a whitewash on the cards. Whoever thought this series was a good idea needs to be lined up against a wall and shot. Playing a ODI on Xmas day do me a favour. Who the hell wants to work on Xmas day I no I don't. And do you really think the players wanted to do that, dragged away from there families at Xmas how demoralising. But all the board care about is somehow keeping Zim in the top 8 for next World Cup and reaping the cash from it. It's all about money and all those cretins in charge are after it. We are losing to afghan cos the boys are demoralised, all hope is lost the game is finished in Zim Taylor was right to walk away. No hope now we ain't got a chance, Welch, Curtis, Byrom and evans lost. Boys who could had made a difference lost to a system that clearly doesn't work anymore. Totally fucked now lads game over the ICC need to wake up and take action. But they won't to busy keeping the BCCI happy. Cheers ICC you are worst than Fifa and that's saying something. Rant over now I really hope we win today but can't see it happening. Sorry for being so negative

As others have said, once the money dries out ZC can't steal anymore!
If ZIM sink - they are already 12th in the ODI rankings - the new ICC will be forced to act. They have already stated that funding will be cut for full members who fall below Associates in terms of the Test Challenge. When ZIM start missing world cups - highly unlikely to get to main round of Wt20 and nearly impossible to qualify at all for 2019 with WI, AFG, IRE all ahead in the pecking order.
Cut the money, start a collapse. Bring in new clean leadership and simply buy with cash and/or good faith the likes of Welch, Byrom, Curtis, Jarvis, Taylor back. With those guys you should at least be better than the Associates.
If that plan doesnt work, it was always screwed from the beginning.

Playing on Xmas day! Made a mockery of Christians world wide. Both teams should have postponed to Boxing Day.
Lets see how we go today hey.
Is our Zim A team playing the full Afghanistan side later or the Afghan A side?

Yeah the odds for both sides are around 190. You'd think it would be slightly less for AFG, but what that means is betters are nearly split down the middle.

As the "home" side my guess is ACB makes the itinerary and I'm certain they were unaware of the significance of the date.jimmylesaint wrote:Playing on Xmas day! Made a mockery of Christians world wide. Both teams should have postponed to Boxing Day.

I think it highly likely that this was requested by the tv companies because there is no other international cricket played on that day.Kriterion_BD wrote:As the "home" side my guess is ACB makes the itinerary and I'm certain they were unaware of the significance of the date.jimmylesaint wrote:Playing on Xmas day!
