Had a chat with a player who is not part of the squad in the Afg series and below is our conversation (Will just call him OB), This is his opinion as a player.
Me: Tell me whats the story with Carl Mumba? What are his prospects?
OB: Nothing at the moment not even A side i dont think
Me: So is this the bowling attack we have in Afgh the best we have? Opening with Jongwe and Muzarabani?
OB: Yes there is noone else there, Chats out Panyangara out, maybe Madziva may go in
Me: Vitori, Chinouya, Tiripano? Whats their story, What happened to Mushangwe or Mupariwa?
OB: Tiripano maybe going to replace Panyangara mayb. He's bowling decent. Vitori not playing franchise one day, Chinouya barely making franchise team, Mpariwa for international I wouldn't take him
Me: What about Cuthbert and Mushangwe?
OB: Mushangwe out of favour not bowling wel, cuthbert not international standard yet but lets be honest who is.? Hasnt played nearly enough A team cricket either
Me: Chats am sure when he comes back won't be up there. I would take Mupariwa. But who has played enough A team cricket?
OB: So how do u expect performances a level up, mpariwa no for m, only bowls wit a new ball in zim only takes wickets wit a new ball finishes his overs in e 1st 25 of an odi u wont do tht as a seamer in international cricket, study his stats n figures, doesn't bowl death in one day games and how do u expect him to execute it at international wen he doesnt do it at franchise
Me: But thats just the point which was also the reason I feel Panyangara wasn't used properly at the world cup, EVERY GAME he started well and was taken to the cleaners at the death. So clearly there was something wrong there. And we persisted with that formula. Why not have be a specialist in ODIs so they finish their 10 overs on the trot.
OB: Then who bowls death
Me: I dont Know!
OB: Bottom line is we have messed up this game for 10 years thru poor admin, tampering with systems that worked at grassroots, age group, representative and national level, not investing in our own players and coaches, having the game being run by nobodys both board n company level, now the roosters have come to roost we're blaming a bunch of youngsters who are ill prepared, ill equipped, technically, physically and mentally to play international cricket.!!!! this is not checkers that u learn and get better @ in a month.. now Oz is going to Dubai, wants to talk to e players.. What is HE going to say to them?
We have killed the game.. lets just admit it.. You tel me wats the difference between ZIFA and ZC.? ZANU n ZC.? so why not blame players in soccer.? Civil servants in government.? It qill take us years to even start to build a team after top crop of players currently playing goes.. You say hammy, vusi, elty have failed they must go, fair and fine.. but who do u have who u have groomed to be a batter and a consistent 1 after them.? Gimme 1 name... no one! exposing urselves..

He's quite right a lard ass like Bvute has been calling the shots about a game he hasn't got a clue about. Now Bvute has had his protection stripped away and been told by the Minister so he is running off to Dubai to rant and rave and try to bribe players. Paid for by ZC whilst the franchise players share $300 each a month, Bvute will eat that amount just passing through the airport. I'm sure his wife will be going to like the other board members.
Cricket has been destroyed by a selfish 2 dozen people, they should be rounded up and shot for treason.
Can't wait to see what Ozias has to say to us!

If OB is there the players SHOULD lose the match (As much as I hate the idea of a throwing matches as a protest) But if we go ahead and win OB will get a big head and think it was his going there that made the players 'pull up their socks'.

One simple comment shows exactly what a prick Bvute is
Reference Mumba, "Nothing at the moment not even A side I don't think"
What hope is there for any young player when thugs with the power Bvute has can just shrug them aside ?, no wonder the national side is full of losers

Nice work now sit down lads and refuse to go to the world cup until monkeys like Bvute, Chingoka, Campbell, Lupepe, Mukondiwa are fired and banned from being rehired in any way shape or form for 20years.
Re: Ozias off to Dubai... to 'motivate' the players
Bvute obviously weaved his magic today. Or else he spoke to the Afghanistan team thinking they were Zimbabwe?
