Re: HMCA 2015/16 Season
I would do it in a heart beat and for free. Stats i follow as at our club we use it as a means of showing players that they are not up to scratch and who their competition is for positions at franchise and national level.

Ray Price sells decent Indian balls at $5 ea.
I like your optimism and sorry for being so negative. Good luck.

Re: HMCA 2015/16 Season
The league standard Readers or CK balls cost between 15 and 20 bucks its just that ZC had made a promise that they would give first league teams balls which they have tried to and delivered but i would rather be given my full allocation rather than collecting a ball on Saturday

Re: HMCA 2015/16 Season
Sorry one last word- that's less than a dollar per player! There's a mentality of relying on ZC which has failed every time. If you can't cough a couple of dollars between 24 players to stage a game then there's not much point. We've gone from demanding $10 or $20 bucks "appearance" money to having to pay to play but still no-one is recognizing this fact. Most sports cost money to play and cricket is no different. Everyone stands with their hands out. I accept that times are hard but if you can't afford a buck then definitely don't play because that implies you haven't had any food and you're also hungry and not going to have the energy levels to give of your best. I don't want to carry on with my negativity but this place doesn't make it easy to be anything other than that.

Kings fall to Shingi Masakadza blitz.
In a top of the table clash the Katundu Kings were undone by a jaw dropping display of hitting exhibited by Shingi Masakadza. Masakadza benefited from a solid platform laid by young opener Tinashe Kanhukamwe 59(58) and Innocent Kaia 66(90) at 3 who put on 120 for the first wicket after the early fall of Tinashe Panyagaras wicket to Tendai Shereni. The fall of the second wicket opened way to one of the most aggressive innings in Vigne cup cricket with Shingi Masakadza blazing 153 of just 67 balls as he warms up for the domestic T20. The pyrotechnics saw 18 sixes in the innings that propellled Takashinag 2 to 330/6 in their 50 overs. The pick of the Kings bowlers was Tenda Shereni who picked up 2 for 79 in his 9 overs with Nathan Waller bowling for the first time with figures of 1-15-off his 2 overs.
The Kings chase didnt get going as they were skittled out for 124 in 22 overs with a top score of 39 from Bekker. Pick of the bowlers was Zawari who picked up 3 -21 in his 6 overs.

Chikomba leads the way in Win over Old Malvernians
Herbert Chikomba put in an allround performance as Uprising pulled off a 24 run win over Old Malvernians at Prince Edward in a low scoring scrap. Uprising set 180 in their 49 thanks to a middle order revivial led by Ngoni Mupamaba 45(70) and Alois Tichana 38(67). The 103 run partnership setup the platform for a finisher performance from Chikomba as he flayed his 35 runs off just 21 balls with able support Artwel Nyambanje witha run a ball 20. Uprising were set back thanks to an inspired and personal best performance by Shadreck Shawarira who grabbed 6- 17(9) with able support received from 16 year old Austin Scot and the spin duo of Bhasikoro and Josephs to reduce uprising to 180.
The Old Malvernians runs chase as has been the case all season failed to get going with early and quick losses of wickets as Chikomba took on the challenge of opening the bowling with immediate sucess with his third ball. The fall of wickets was halted thanks to a 80 run partnership between returning legends Ishmael Senzere and Chaka Nziradzemhuka. The spirited chase was halted by some clever field sets and willy bowling by Ngoni Mpamba as the chase was doused out by a fitter and younger Uprising side.

Rainbow keep cruising with 7 Wicket win over OH
The return of Mark Vermulen to the OH battling line could not stop an inspired Kuda Munyede to bowling figures of 5 for 50 in 10 as Rainbows bowling unit restriced OH to 138 in 38 overs. OH got to a slow start as Eagles trio of Zhawi and Aliseni and Mafusire strangle OH to 18 runs in the first ten overs. Tino Mafusire had the early breakthrough accounting for Yasser Parker for 9 which brought in Cephas Zhuwao.Zhuawao and Vermulen set about tryng to get the score board ticking with some lusty blows as Zhuwao score a quick fore 61 of 34 balls before becomming Munyedes first victim. Vermulen who had been scratchy to begin with tried to break the shackles when he hit Munyede for six before falling to Munyede for 34(65). The OH stand petered out through a number of poor shot selection choices and some excellent ground fielding with a stunning run out by Bryt Mugochi.
The Rainbow chase got off to a Tornado start with boundaries as Bryt Mugochi and Ash Mwenda raced to 62 in the first five overs before Mugochi fell for 48 in 13 balls.
