It's funny you say, because I almost think the lower the standard of cricket, the harder opening is compared to the job everyone else has. I mean, in a test match a side generally has 4 good bowlers, who exploit both conventional and reverse swing throughout the innings when conditions fit, meaning ...

I feel sort of conflicted. I'm one of those Australians who can't take my own team having been exposed to their arrogance and hubris from a young age. So New Zealand is allowed to win this series, only so they get a shock, lift their game, and then thrash Australia in the Ashes.
