Probable squad for srilanka
Re: Probable squad for srilanka
Don't think Ervine will make the trip.

Re: Probable squad for srilanka
Mawoyo is an automatic selection for Tests. His century today is timely, but irrespective of form he is always a consistent Test performer. First name on the team sheet.
1. T Mawoyo
2. C Chibhabha
3. H Masakadza
4. S Williams
5. PJ Moor
6. S Raza
7. R Chakabva (wk)
8. G Cremer (c)
9. D Tiripano
10. T Panyangara
11. T Chatara
I know it's tempting to play a second spinner - but there is no clear choice. I am a fan of Nyumbu, but he's just not in good form domestically and didn't have any luck against Sri Lanka either. Doesn't matter, we'll be chasing leather regardless. Given SL will probably declare at about 600, I'd stock up on the batting by including Tiripano at 9.
Williams is underrated as a spinner anyway. Cremer/Williams is a perfectly good combination, plus a few from Raza as well.
If we are to spring a surprise on SL it probably will be Chatara taking a 5-fer or something.
Obviously Ervine in for Raza, but it sounds like Ervine is injured.

What use is practicing if he is not getting any game time.
