[Logan Cup 2017 Round 1] Eagles v Tuskers
Re: [Logan Cup 2017 Round 1] Eagles v Tuskers
Yeah we must be idiots not to see that Moor scoring 41 is far inferior to a 30-ball duck from Chakabva, in fact I don't think Moor's test half-centuries even compare to Chakabva's duck. This 30-ball duck was so full of stylish strokes it may already be one of the greatest Logan Cup ducks of all-time.

We have now heard it all from pariah. No one else can go from making decent sense to sounding like a schizophrenic in the space of a paragraph.eugene wrote: ↑Wed Oct 04, 2017 7:36 pmYeah we must be idiots not to see that Moor scoring 41 is far inferior to a 30-ball duck from Chakabva, in fact I don't think Moor's test half-centuries even compare to Chakabva's duck. Possibly the silliest thing I've heard in my 9 years on the forum.

Happy with a 30 ball duck, it's rubbish statements like this that prove this goose has zero idea about cricket and is just trying to push his agenda.

30 ball duck, that is insane stuff. Baffling as to how anybody could try to defend that.

You get the point but you're in denial and focusing on a non-issue. Playing the man. Typical.
Chakabva came in 2nd ball of the 4th over at position number four after fielding for 64 overs!!!
Just admit that before making these points you either hadn't checked this or taken it into consideration.
These very same points were in consideration regarding QdK and batting number 4 in England. Zimbabwe had the Andy Flower 4/5 discussion plenty times. If you think it makes sense for Regis to open twice in a Test match while keeping, and praised non-keeping+non-bowling Moor then for a similar 40, while bashing Regis for failing, how could I possibly expect different reasoning right now.
In both the SL Test and this EAG-TKR match, the situations are pretty much the same. How can someone who just scored a 1st innings century and a 2nd innings 48 against SA EME be off form when no other batsman scored over 37 runs that innings? Just like BD, ZIM will play SA EME before they face SA in the Test. It will be very interesting to see because they'll rip into ZIM.
In that sames 1st innings against SL - before he batted - Regis did score 12 runs opening, while Moor scored just 19 from #7. What exactly did you want him to do after keeping for 100+ overs? Malcolm Waller batting at #8 bowled just 5 overs in total.
There is nothing wrong with Regis, and I think already a number of people have said as much. Malcolm, Moor and Sean Williams are arguably below Regis' class as a Test batsman and even if someone like Mutumbami keeps ahead of Regis, Chakabva will and should still be in line as a specialist batsman pick.
NB: Would you be ok with a non-batting+non-bowling Regis batting at number 7/8?

This post clearly talked about 3 people. Regis, Richie, Moor. In the context of the national team and A team wicket keeper slot. Where did Richie disappear in all the mumbo jumbo that followed? Richie played his typical back to the walls knock at 108/4. The point was about the timing of Regis's failure and Richie's success.CrimsonAvenger wrote: ↑Wed Oct 04, 2017 3:34 pmChakabva getting a 30 ball duck when Richie scored big is exactly what he did not want. Moor hit his way to a 40, but where do these 3 stand now? A few more innings to go before the WI showdown.
Would be interesting to see who is selected as keeper for the A team that faces touring WI.
Well...

I don't see how PJs quick fire 40 odd actually fits in here. He literally just went out there and had a hit. Besides he didn't even keep wicket. Clearly, Mutumbami not doing any harm to his cause. A few more good knocks in the run up to the tour match and he would be back in contention, but does he have the consistency. Reggie is really out of form and his body language during the NED games shows he is low on confidence too. He really needs to work on that.

No one is saying Regis is rubbish or shouldn’t be in the side because of his 30 ball duck. We’re laughing at the fact you said you were happy with his innings.
You make a million excuses for the players you like but then hammer the guys you don’t like for stupid reasons e.g. bagging Williams for only taking 4 wickets for 200 in the Sri Lanka test and scoring 40 odd runs, but you make excuses for Tari, Hami & Regis not scoring or in Regis’ case missing chances behind the stumps.

This exactly !!!! Can’t see where you said Regis should be dropped? But old mates goes off on tangent with a thousand words.CrimsonAvenger wrote: ↑Thu Oct 05, 2017 7:31 amThis post clearly talked about 3 people. Regis, Richie, Moor. I’ve said it before Hhm clearly doesn’t read others posts here he just goes off a rampage for nothing most of the time
BRMT can we have a poll on who should be the test keeper ?? I’m fairly confident we’ll find the forum will vote majority for Regis
