Zimbos in the IPL draft

Post by CrimsonAvenger »

If anyone cares that is. It seems the same guys who were at BPL from Zim are the ones who have made it to the draft. Raza, Cremer, Mire and Waller. Surprising that the likes of Taylor and Hamilton haven't put forward their names.

Doubt any of them will get picked. Maybe by some miracle Raza..

I feel sorry for Hami because I think he would do ok. Wasn't he even in the top 10 in that format at some point? It's all because we don't play enough games

I could see Mire getting some love in the IPL.

Its about performing in a match changing way, not how many games you play. Afghans play even fewer T20Is than ZIM against the top sides but Rashid and Nabi have gotten contracts. Rashid may very well be a freak, but Nabi is just an ordinary player who has I guess performed well enough when the eyes that matter saw.

It's been well over 18 months since Zimbabwe has played a t20

Rashid and Nabi got picked from their heroics in the last t20 WC

Im sure that if guys like Hami, Mire and Cremer do well at the next t20 WC they might get into more Leagues around the World, Mire especially in OZ since he wouldn't count as an overseas player

Ya but we need to play a couple of T20’s against every team we come up against in other formats.

When is the draft? With today's performance Cremer might be a smokey.
