Yeah even though he's not express its just good to see a big strong looking lad steam in instead of the usual bean poles or short medium pace guys we're used to seeing

I wouldn’t be within 2km of Williams when he’s exhibiting flu-like symptoms and he’s just had some sweet and sour dog from the Spring Roll Centre.
They could use him to chase Mumba to increase his run up speed so he can get the ball over 130 perhaps.

I still feel slightly (nay: massively) uncomfortabel with the target.

Good heavens! Your captain!
Sorry that the only thing I posted in this thread is negative but Sean Willimas has to be the pettiest and silliest and probably most foolish captain alive, together with the rest of that bunch that makes such decisions.

Reggie needs to get Murray to teach him how to sledge. He could elicit a bitch slap from Mother Theresa.

And try a couple of 70-75kph slower spin deliveries. It’s now not turning.
Well dun heavy roller!

Nyauchi does what Chatara does in his pre-delivery stride, there’s that slightly shorter step, almost a stutter, that takes a lot of pace off the ball.

Hahah no surprise Conant comes in just to hammer Williams
Where have you been ?
It looks awfully petty and it could cost the side, the commentators reckon it was to do with the heavy roller more so than the milestone, Dirk predicted they'd only face the one ball and declare, he was right

How does a heavy roller deteriorate a pitch though. Doesn't that calm it down?jaybro wrote: ↑Fri Jan 31, 2020 8:57 amHahah no surprise Conant comes in just to hammer Williams

Mate, Williams is one of my favourite batsmen, just not a leader. Chawaguta reckons he has zero brain, "the worst captain I ever had in the Under 19s". Hope he doesn't see this though

My theory with regards to declarations in Test cricket is this: You don't give them a sniff. You want them to get in a defensive mindset. You want them to poke at deliveries they would normally swap to the boundary. You want to be able to crowd the bat all day long. You want be the one who is dictating things on the field. You have worked hard for four days to get into this positions. You don't want to give them a sniff.
