No idea, they might even not be cricketers. Can anyone throw some light?

150. A bit of fun as we reach 150.
What Zimbabwean cricket related historical event comes to mind when you see these characters?

A clue: Both these are characters from Disney. First from a Disney afternoon animation series, and the second from a recent animated movie.

Here goes.....

Was it the first ODI to use the Duckworth Lewis method. This was the 2nd match in the Zim/England series in 96/97 played at Harare Sports Club.

Another stunner of a reply, alan132! I still remember your Denis Streak reply. Great one again.

Here's the reasoning:

First character is Duckworth from Disney's Duck Tales, and the second one is "Lewis" Robinson from Disney movie "Meet the Robinsons". These two characters representing the famous Duckworth-Lewis method, which was first implemented in that match specified by alan132, and Zim was the proud winner by 7 runs, thus creating history :)

Thanks again Crimson Avenger!. Again it was an educated guess as I only knew the first character was called Duckworth. I had no idea who the boy was. Also I had forgotten that the DL method was introduced in that most eventful series...remember Eddo Brandes' hat-trick, the drawn test with scores level and Mashonaland beating England in a warm-up game...so I had to do a bit of a google search to help. :)

Educated guesses are a hallmark of modern day quizzing! I've been involved in a lot of quizzing, and its not just remember and reproduce that counts, it gives a lot of joy when we can make such correct educated guesses...

As for that season, yes, clearly, it was the golden season of cricket for Zimbabwe. In fact, "We, flippin murdered 'em!" :)
