Re: All time zim 11? Version 666
Dave never scored 150 (His highest being 142 in the unforgettable Kiwi match at world cup) and he never scored 4 ODI centuries because he has hit only 1 in ODIs. Strange facts from you if we consider you are a former player

i'm very surprised that afew people are leaving off strang and even more startling...david houghton.
dave houghton had a mid 40s test average when he was about 40 yrs old.
look through old scorecards of ODI's and whos the one that continually gets 100+?
david houghton.
like the 87' world cup when he got 150 or when he made 4 ODI centuries in 92'.

Houghton is still a class apart whether he scored 1 or 4 tons in ODI's.Dr_Situ(ZimFanatic) wrote:Dave never scored 150 (His highest being 142 in the unforgettable Kiwi match at world cup) and he never scored 4 ODI centuries because he has hit only 1 in ODIs. Not Andy Roberts or Mikey Holding pace but, IIRC, in his day he was pretty brisk. More RFM than RMF IMHO (excuse acronyms )

Sound about right. IIRC he was the quickest bowler we had at the time and his defection to pay in SA was a real shame. He would have been a big asset in the early test days.sloandog wrote:Cheers mate. I mean i just did a quick read on on Rawson and apparently he had some gas. around the mid 80's apparently.
