Zimfan, what does Ryan Burl bowl?. He was used purely as a middle order batsman (left hand) on the recent Zimbabwe U17 tour to RSA and din't bowl at all. I see he's now been selected to tour RSA again with the Zim U19's this January.

He's a right arm medium bowler who moves it a fair bit, very similar to Nathan Waller, think he is usally a number 6/7 batsman and will bowl his full quota.

Suprised that he didnt bowl in the recent tour maybe he is injured?

Atish Chouthan is the pace star we should look out for, he is allready signed up by the Tuskers and he defiantly has some gas

Boundary do you know anything about Alister MaCloud who scored runs of the tour to India but was not in either the under 17 or under 19 squad?

Apparently he's a star in the making.
I have him as a 'friend' on facebook and he looks to be a good player.
Right arm medium/medium fast who bats in the top 4.
what this space...

Atish did play once for the U19's last August against teh RSA but didn't get a bowl. He has been selected for the U19's tour to RSA this January. They have packed the squad with opening bowlers so have recognised the failures over the last 12 months in this dept. In the U19's as well as Chouhan are Calum Price, Toch Enwerem (who is a left armer), Godwill Mamhiyo, and 2 from the U17 squad, Kyle Bowie and Vuyisile Mapala. I'm suprised that James Bruce in not included he is a Left Arm opening bowler who can also bat in the top 6. He didn't bowl much on the recent U17 tour to RSA so I presume he is carrying an injury.

Does anybody know anything about the pace and standard of these bowlers?

Full under 19 squad is here:-
http://www.zimcricket.org/index.php?opt ... Itemid=100

It looks a little weak in the batting dept.

and the stats from the recent U17 tour are here:-

Interestingly, Atish Chouhan is from Victoria Falls.

Wouldn't it be great if we could un-earth another Jarvis or Chitara :D
Or maybe another PJ Moor in batting department

James Bruce is carrying a back injury at the moment. I think the openning bowlers will be Price and Enwerem. Enwerem is a left armer that bowls a hard ball that hits the bat hard and Price is an away swing bowler that bowled at an average of 126 km/h at the televised game against New Zealand in the last under 19 world cup. The first change bowler will most probably be Lake or Bowie. Mamhiyo is an off spinner and Burl is a leg spin bowler but are both useful batsmen. The majority of the side going on tour is under 18 obviously in preparation for the 2012 under 19 world cup.

Callum Price is an exciting prospect i think.
He's a very strong lad, infact he has a frame resembling that of Eddo Brandes.
As he gets stonger, he'll bowl consistantly quicker.
