Nah, bro’s ain’t coming to watch Durham on their pre season
10k capacity when the justification was HSC and Queens aren’t big enough with their 10k capacity
I’d seen ZC are fronting the dollar and will own the ground for 25 years, but then what? Whose ground is it then ? and they reckon it will be built in a year; seems legit.
It does seem quite ridiculous when the season just gone two token regional (?) games were at Queens ahead of the Sri Lanka tour and everything else was in Harare.
Got train wreck written all over this bad boy

ZC secures land to build a 3rd new stadium. ZC and Mutare Sports Club have had a lot of long-running disputes over the years, so it seems they want their own venue.
Vic Falls, Gweru and Mutare. An insane amount of money wasted. We are doomed.

A good opportunity here for a franchise of cricketing strip clubs.
Neil Johnson, Alistair Campbell, Murray Goodwin, Andy Flower (w), Grant Flower, Dave Houghton, Guy Whittall, Heath Streak (c), Andy Blignaut, Ray Price, Eddo Brandes

Nothing. The site of the ground is a wet land area left undeveloped. Good luck turning that into a cricket ground.
CHRISTOPHER MPOFU: 'The problem was fear of failure. I used to think that when I played, if I didn't do well in one game, I would lose my place for the next one but now I've let go of that'

Let the Chinese pay for it!!!ZIMDOGGY wrote: ↑Wed May 15, 2024 10:53 amPeople travel to Africa for wildlife and nature. Not for county cricket. People don’t even watch county in England let alone Zim.
There may be, keyword *may* be an argument for a multi purpose stadium built there, for soccer, rugby and concerts etc
But then let the Zim gov pay for it.
