PCB refusing to issue NOC’s to Pakistan players for the Zim T10 as apparently the ICC has refused to sanction the tournament due to significant concerns about the organisers behind this and other T10 leagues.
This must be why ZC are not promoting it, scared of backlash from the ICC>

They're probably nervous their players will have some financial carrots dangled and they won't resist temptation. That's what happens when you don't pay your players...I'm trying to think of another country that pays their players poorly and sporadically.
Or they're making sure their players will hand over a percentage to the PCB.

I'm sure it will be resolved, it's a good payday for a couple of weeks work.

It would be interesting to know how much ZC get paid for hosting- the official and unofficial amount.

I see Durban Qalanders is no longer a team. They were the winning team last time around and still owe players some significant money.
It stinks a little.

It sounds like ZC are keeping their hands well out of this this time. They are getting a fee for using HSC and have obviously issued NOC’s to players, but other than that apparently ZC are very wary.

You can't just sub-let. I wonder when HSC will demand a cut of the action. Nobody is ever going to know how much the 2 M's will get for this, but it's going to be a shed load.

Interesting interview with Ben Curran. He is a long way away from Zim selection if you ask me.

Heard that Gary Ballance was seen at national team training with Zimbabwe? not sure if it is true or just a rumour.

Ballance   no thanks. We needed that clown at the qualifiers last year, not for some bilateral against a seriously demoralised Pakistan.

Curran needs to commit, including to winter. Missing out on the NPL (again) has damaged him enormously I reckon. There’s a lot of interest in the NPL here now. In reality no one is that bothered about the first class stuff. He needs to properly get stuck in here and lay some roots. He had the odd good innings in franchise last season but underwhelmed more often than not. At the moment he’s trading off his famous name. Needs an enormously successful season to be in with a chance of representing Zim. Probably needs a Campbell type season and more.

As for Ballance, bonkers if true. There were credible, strong rumours that it ended last time because of drugs. And that he was battling a lot of mental health issues. Unless he’s had an enormous turn around then I can’t see it going any better this time. He hasn’t even hit a cricket ball for two years. Surely he won’t be the same player he was?
I’m amazed if ZC have buried the hatchet that easily. They stuck their neck out to bring him back last time and he really let them down.

Risky move getting involved with him again; like going back to a 10 dollar hooker after she’s given you a dose. Won’t need him anyway when ZC pull their finger out and sweet talk the ICC into shaving six months off BT’s ban.

Ballance will have to get us through to the 20/20 World cup by battering these minnows in the qualifiers. That is if rumours are true
