Franchise Round 2 - Logan Cup & Pro 50 (5th-10th November)
Re: Franchise Round 2 - Logan Cup & Pro 50 (5th-10th November)
Good to see Wessy in the runs today. He really needs some confidence going into the internationals. It looks like we are most likely picking the same side for Pakistan with Ervine and Williams coming in for the ODIs. Will be interesting to see if Curran will get a look in as well. Gumbie too could get the second opening spot.

Zolsky has highlighted the ( White) rangers foursome who failed today
What point do you think he is trying to make?

We all know what point he is making

Dion Myers really made a positive impact on the Eagles today with contributions with both bat and ball. Mountaineers must be kicking themselves for letting him go. If he bowled more it could really change the dynamic of his game. That side it will be interesting to see who actually lines up for EAGLES when the National team guys go into camp. Perhaps Chamu Chibhabha still has a game or two in him.

No, Chamu has finished up. He’s got a minimal-effort coaching job for life with Eagles, probably a 20 year contract on more than most of the players.
Shingi and Nyathi have retired too. Cephas is still going - 40 next month.
Legendary big Mike Chinouya still steaming in and bowling really well. He’ll play longer than Jimmy Anderson I reckon.

Ya that Zolsky tweet highlights the deep rooted problem.
Why would Mountaineers not play Chatara, Nyauchi and Vezha? Nungu just bowls with enthusiasm.
Really don't understand the team they put out.
Why would they open with Schadendorf against Evans? He was never going to get anything to hit but he was sure going to try, with predictable results, especially against a Kookaburra. They should have put him down the order.
I don't think he makes the side. I'd play the other Frost as well.
Open with Gumbie and Matt Welch, proven class openers.

Finally Ivermectin back on the shelves for the next Covid outbreak. I accept everyone's apologies in advance.

Yea I would agree with that. Mangongo sold Gumbie down the road a little bit messing with his position. He is an opener by trade and has been for a while. Still he did reasonably well and a few sixes hot I see .Googly wrote: ↑Wed Nov 06, 2024 6:21 amYa that Zolsky tweet highlights the deep rooted problem.

Has to be back in his normal position for the 4 layer tomorrow you would think. I don't believe schadendorff is technically proficient as an opener. Sure it worked in the 20/20 club matches when field is up and no slips but 50 over and 4 dacia different ball game.
