terrible isnt it . mawayo makes not one score above 40 in 5 innings and is selected yet mutizwa makes a 60 odd and a 86 not out and wins the match in just 4 innings and still cant get a place in the SQUAD its ridiculous. the lad must be so cut inside

Predicting the selectors is rocket science...what did Mutizwa do wrong and Mawoyo do right...Jarvis is a marginal call would have opted for waller ...mutizwa v chakabva....ah well....its coventry v masakadza over...baffling
1. Mawoyo 2. Duffin 3. Sibanda 4. Taylor 5. Masakadza 6. Williams 7. Chakabva 8. Creamer 9. Jarvis 10. Rainsford 11. Mpofu

I really do feel sorry for Mutizwa. I would have gone for Mutizwa instead of Chakabva. I am not happy with Tino but comfortable. I think he has been okay opening the innings with Sibanda . I guess leaving Mutizwa can only be good for the Team. Can you imagine the presssure on these guys having the likes of Mutizwa and Razza breathing down their necks.

1. Taylor (c)
2. Sibanda
3. Masakadza
4. Taibu (wk)
5. Ervine
6. Chakabva
7. Chigumbura
8. Meth
9. Price
10. Vitori
11. Mpofu

But I have a feeling Mawoyo will get the nod over Chakabva. I don't think either of them deserve to be in the Test team quite frankly, but Chakabva at least has the better First Class record.

A rough calculation says the above team has 82 Test matches worth of experience, only 4 players making their debut. That's not too bad considering there's been a 6 year break.
I don't like Chakabva in their either, but given the squad I think BRMs team is the best option. I have always thought Taylor should open.
Neil Johnson, Alistair Campbell, Murray Goodwin, Andy Flower (w), Grant Flower, Dave Houghton, Guy Whittall, Heath Streak (c), Andy Blignaut, Ray Price, Eddo Brandes

Forster has to just keep on knocking his chance will come. Mawoyo, Craig and Chakabva know that, if they don't perform, they surely be out for the Pakistan match.

Well, it looks like Chigs is in indeed as BRM suspected:

The squad has two spinners, seven specialist batsmen and five seamers, Christopher Mpofu, all-rounder Elton Chigumbura and the trio of Kyle Jarvis, Brian Vitori and Keegan Meth, who are all uncapped in Tests.
