Yeah he did well, doesn't make it right. Should have tossed the ball to Williams or Bennett instead.

Where's Nyamhuri come from by the way? Has he had private coaching, did he go to a private school? Before the last under 19 WC nobody had really heard of him. What's his back story?
I find it incredible that we still manage to churn out the odd exciting player each year, despite the economic hardship, lack of facilities and high standard coaching and the overall cricketing culture as of 2025.
Muzarabani was another one in 2017. Got selected for the sising stars and then he was catapulted in by Streak. No real FC experience or age group cricket.
I really hope Bawa comes back and plays FC after uni. Of what I saw against SA emerging, he looked the goods and had a physical presence.
Great day though

He got a scholarship to an SA school, that's why he appeared to be a late parachute into the U19 WC squad.sloandog wrote: ↑Thu Jan 02, 2025 5:18 pmWhere's Nyamhuri come from by the way? His younger brother is the one currently tearing it up for St Aiden's Primary, I think? Highest run scorer in the history of the ZC app at 13 years old!

Solid day. Can't judge a pitch till both teams have batted. The Afghans will believe they can still earn a first innings lead...
That being said, absolutely Zimbabwe's day. They did what they needed to. Rain shortened day, bowl the opp out, get to stumps without any hiccups.
Should be an exciting match!

Don't know if everybody knew but in response to all the stream questions, I've been watching through DSTV streaming on channel 294, if that helps anyone.
