Raza is the best spinner in the country too btw, I’m a big Mavuta fan but he can’t bowl consistently like Raza.
Thankyou for saying that!!
Everytime I say that I get backlash

He'd be our best player by a country mile. If he committed to zimbabwe he wouldn't have to grind through our FC system either, he'd very much get the same red carpet treatment Jarvis and Taylor got in 2017.
His county stats speak for themselves and anybody thinking ANY of our batters outrank him are having a giggle. He'd fit perfectly into our side
I agree with this fwiw. Been crying out for a seam bowling allrounder as well. Higgins or Faraz?... Not really a contest.

There isn't a good record of rolling out the red carpet for guys returning from overseas and them working out. Jarvis came back half the bowler he was before he left for England. Are we sure Higgins isn't being overhyped?

Higgins is class. I'm extremely surprised he hasn't played any red ball cricket for England

Just had a little look at Marumani's stats in FC cricket, and I take back what I said about not grinding out hundreds. He's got that box ticked. His issue is being able to translate that to international cricket. I hope he can do it because he clearly has flare, time and indispensable talent. There's only so much rope a player can be given
Been tweeting this for at least a year. There is little to no mental support given to players by ZC.

They fall over because of it. Yet ZC and Larry will blame the players. Shame.

ZC doesn't know how to run a professional set up. TM thinks that if you give someone a bat and some pads, that's all they need.

I can't imagine what our coaches are working with. I can't imagine our players are getting proper cricket coaching alongside the video analysis, physio, recovery, nutrition, psychology that all the other nations get.

Higgins is a player. I have seen Middlesex play enough to know he would walk into this Zimbabwe side likely in all 3 formats (politics aside).

Jarvis had his best years at Lancs and came back when he was past his best. No question he developed and improved as a player at Lancs.

Higgins is not the bowler Jarv was or the bat BT was but he is certainly a better player than Myers/Wes/Maru/Kaitano/Welch

English County Cricket is rather overrated, particularly on the bowling front. Some rather mediocre guys can look good on the wickets over there. I'd rate performances in the Australian system much higher.

Yes, County ain’t great. There has been some truly average players for England over the years and if this guy has never had a look in I don’t think he’s head and shoulders above our guys. Above yes, but not by much.
This is why I want Cartwright. He’s a mainstay for WA and by that fact alone he WILL be an asset. Not one county team would hold a candle to the 6 Sheffield shield sides. County is more on par with Sydney grade firsts.
