Re: Zimbabwe VS Ireland |Squad announced
Myers dropped from all bar the T20. Sad, but I guess he is way out of form.
Re: Zimbabwe VS Ireland |Squad announced
Not too bad actually. Newman or Nyauchi is going to be interesting. Really interesting. Overall I think there is enough to work with and a chance for Welch and Campbell to show us what they can do. I'm also happy to see Munyonga back plus Musekiwa and Maphosa.
The famed 3 person quota system is guaranteed to be broken in less than 2 weeks. Especially with Raza not there. Never been a thing in my opinion anyway.
My maybe unpopular opinion would he to pick Newman, simply because I think it might be something the Irish won't expect. Nyauchi is the kind of bowler they are used to as good as he is. Almost like how Chivanga was just something different

Has been, but they are smart enough to know, after getting alot of heat for it, that they will need to up end it a couple of times to say 'see? myth'

Would prefer Kaitano than Gumbie, but the only one who could actually replace him is Mayavo.ZIMDOGGY wrote: ↑Fri Jan 24, 2025 4:07 pmTest lineup?

Re: Zimbabwe VS Ireland |Squad announced
There's absolutely no chance they'll select that test line up. I'll be really surprised if Welch gets selected to play ahead of Kaitano.ZIMDOGGY wrote: ↑Fri Jan 24, 2025 4:07 pmTest lineup?

I'd keep Kaitano at 3, and leave out Campbell. Harsh on him, as he was already in the squad, but I think Welch is better player than he is.
