Ireland have been so so poor today in the field.

That shot for 2 from Musek would have been 6 on most world grounds.

He shaped up quite well there to his credit. Could have sometbing to work with here from a T20 viewpoint

Munyonga should be given more chances, looks strongly built and has played selflessly here. Great to see such competition in the side.
He's overweight bud. If you're that hungry to get into the side you make yourself look like Marvin Hagler.
He couldn't put bat on ball either.

C'mon Ireland !!!

Munyonga is not a finisher. Getting himself into a knot.
But Googly this is my point, it makes a complete mockery of the game when you play a farcical 9 over a side game. I think they bowled really poorly to Burl as those are his go to 6 hitting shots, but the rest of our batters have naturally struggled due to the time scale available.

Munyonga did okay there and at least showed some intent
These are the guys that made money in our T10 tournament. Clearly they learnt fuck all.

Of course, you can't judge him on one outing, but he looked at sea. It's not a good look if you're not in good condition, you need to be a Paul Sterling to get away with that.

T10 you need 2 boundaries an over on average. T20 you need one on average. That extra boundary scrambles batters' heads. You essentially have to go from ball one. Maybe you can dink it around for 2 balls then you have to look for a boundary option.
In theory it should be like the back end of a T20 but it doesn't seem to work like that. Batters just swing and hope and most don't have the skills. I mean they werent even close to nicking most of those balls. How many shots did we see yesterday where they were bowling wide of off and our guys were trying to go leg side. Largely unnecessary and you need a serious skill set.

I think the Irish were as surprised as the rest of us at our batters' inability to even get bat on ball, to get singles, to rotate and to even look like scoring a boundary. I think we gave them a heads up as to how to bowl today. Pace off and wide of off to most of them. Slower balls bother most players, but our guys seem particularly bothered.

That should have been a big eye opener for the coaching staff. There's Burl, Bennett and Raza and the others can't get it off the square, it's actually embarrassing. Musi got that one freebie that he front footed over extra that saved his short innings from looking woeful as well.

Maru was a disaster and that would have lost us the game right there had they batted. I stand by my statement that Wes is not a T20 player. He's OK on a good pitch with the ball coming on with a fast outfield, but then so are a lot of other guys. With the pitch holding a little, a sticky outfield and huge boundaries he's not muscling anything. At best he's running two's.

Rhodie propaganda that bro.

Marumani was awesome, took the shine off and set a solid platform for Burl to go big.

Wez is no t20 player. Does his best with his limited skills and rotates the strike well.
