Burl has a lot to do with this again, though. He lifted that required impetus which we're lacking.

A lot of eyes are going to be on both the selectors and Marumani for the next game. I'd give him the final match of the series to allow him to show something, anything, because right now, he's been far from impressive.

Well batted to young Tony Munyonga. I rate this boy a lot. I'd love to see him further up the order though. He has more shots than Murumani and Wez is just not a T20 cricketer, at all

Musekiwa had a couple of good shots but that was just such a poor decision from him, he was going well.

Heard it here first. Zimbabwe to win on the last ball.

Zimbabwe have an even better record than Australia in final over thrillers. It’s uncanny for one of the smaller teams in world cricket.
Yeah we saw that in the 50 over wcq in 2018 against UAE :geek:

Well-done Munyonga !! So he cemented his place for infinite time in ZC jersey

Zimbabwe crossing the line in the end there. Close call indeed. The top order really does need a bit of work. Marumani it's just not happening for him. Wes at 3 or in a T20 side is just touch and go really. We really need a new opener and a solid number 3. Myers hasn't worked so far. Perhaps we should try Nick even.

You say 'even' Nick Welch, but really he's at the top of the list. You could try Ben Curran as well. He showed that he has some shots to match T20 demands, but Myers would be a better shout than Marumani opening. Myers is another touch player but I get the sense he can clear the ropes more easily than Wes.

His frame alone almost negates the ability to hit big. Still looks like a little teenager

Very glad for todays performance. Munyonga is showing better and better performances.

I'm sorry for the inconsistency of Sikandar Raza in this series: still a good player, unfortunately no longer the leading edge for the squad (and I'm pessimistic for the future).

Marumani still unsatisfactory, Gumbie has often been unsatisfactory. It seems a w.k. curse... Who would you suggest as squad w.k., apart from them?
