Could have got 160 but slowed down a bit. Some nice shots by Musekiwa.

Our top three combination is not working at all. Not sure we have many T20s left before the qualifiers.

That Munyonga Musekiwa partnership was beautiful today. We seriously need to move on from Marumani and Wessy in the T20 stuff.

Ended up being somewhat respectable, lets see how our big, tall and fast bowlers do!
The higher you go the cooler it becomes.

Decent partnership and a good strike rate for sure, but a little unconvincing despite that.
Munyonga got lucky 2 or 3 times. He must be a strong lad, about 3 one handed shots that carried amazingly far. He's trying to hit the ball too hard, he's strong enuf to hold his shape more.

Musi bombed 3 good shots, but his play and miss shots are just weird, doesn't look like putting bat on ball. Most of his innings have been just like that actually. A miss miss miss, six, type of innings. It was decent today, but it needs work.

Madhevere got another good ball, stayed low, and he should have front footed it. He's not our no 3 in this format. He would have struggled with that outfield.
Maru is really letting me down.

How does a guy with zero skill and talent dissappoint?

I've watched this guy for years. He's a great player, I've watched some amazing innings from him. I don't know what happens at this level though. Today again his first shot he showed his stumps and helped it behind square. As I said earlier he doesn't play a back foot cover drive that I've seen.

He's got an amazing eye, you guys are yet to see it, but its there somewhere.

Maruma 2.0. one of the best players you will see live domestically but just can't convert at a higher level.

I watched the first 2 games live. Munyonga has been lucky but you need that at this level. Musekiwa also showed a lot of promise. We should be happy that other players besides the big 3 are performing. Gwandu live also looked decent. He is improving.

My overall assessment is that T20s need one more senior player and I think that person will be BT with the gloves. Tough ask for a 39 year old but I think he can do it for 20 overs. I think there is a place for him in the white ball stuff. We will absolutely crumble against bigger teams. Wes is also not a T20 player. They have got that wrong. He needs time to get into gear

Covers coming off very slowly.
I'm sure they'll chop overs, puts Ireland on the front foot.

Bennett is going to have to adapt. His two main scoring areas are backward point and his pull. They've blocked off that backward point area and he's on the radar now so most teams will do that going forward.

I think you've got that wrong, bud. Maru and Wes are not doing it, and I remain completely unconvinced about Musekiwa, that continuous play and miss doesnt work at this level. Tony deserves more opportunity. We're short 3 players.
