Who do you think is the most promising player in Zimbabwe?
Re: Who do you think is the most promising player in Zimbabw
Kyle Jarvis and Craig Ervine are the most promising players.
Neil Johnson, Alistair Campbell, Murray Goodwin, Andy Flower (w), Grant Flower, Dave Houghton, Guy Whittall, Heath Streak (c), Andy Blignaut, Ray Price, Eddo Brandes

Im going to throw one in out of the blue, Keagan Meth. The guy can swing the ball massively. He just needs some extra pace and to work on his line and length.

On the contrary, hope he proves me wrong, works hard on his game and becomes one of the worlds great spinners. I will be happy to eat a Lou Brown s-*t burger.Cremer is infallible in these parts! Your honest assessment might be misconstrued for hating him!
Thanks BRM for the positive forum topic. Zim has talent, and a bad tour at this stage is a temporary setback and a reminder of the hard work still required.

Brian Vitori and Kyle Jarvis, a new ball combination that'll decimate many top orders in the near future
Vusi, Mawoyo, H.Masakadza, Taylor, Ervine, Williams, Mutumbami, S.Masakadza, Meth, Price, Jarvis

i would have to say nathan waller and kasuza one will be a middle over bowler for us in odis and t20s and the other a destructive opening bat consistenly putting on more than 100 for the first wicket with vusi
i also think jarvis is going to a very classy test bowler / handy odi bowler and i expect PJ Moor to blossom when he gets to 24 - 26 a lot of people have forgotten about him , hes a very aggresive bat , one to watch trust me !

I dont think any other player shows as much potential as this one. He is unorthodox in the amount of swing he gets. In fact I have never seen anyone swing it so much. I have been watching cricket for the last 20 years.
Often mis-utilized as first change instead of being handed the new ball. Everyone here complains about his lack of pace. 130 to 140 from Jarvis and Vitori is not real pace. 145+ is midly threatening these days. Swing and variation counts for a lot more than pace does because modern batsmen dont know much about it.
He needs a little bit of work on his batting (the basic ingredients are then, needs a shot of confidence) and add a couple of variations to his bowling strategy.
Other than that I would put money on Kasuza and Sauramba having seen them play.

I forgot about Moor
Looks like a decent player, but very inconsistent when he was selected. Does anybody know where he vanished to

Re: Who do you think is the most promising player in Zimbabw
He played quite a bit for the Eagles in the early part of this season, but hasn't featured since their T20 series with Kenya. No idea what happened next. Possibly simply dropped, as his form wasn't very impressive. Sadly however, any period of inactivity involving a Zim player makes you think the worst...sloandog wrote:I forgot about MoorLooks like a decent player, but very inconsistent when he was selected.
