Re: The Ireland Question
No need to play at Stormont, Dublin does just fine. RoI is not a part of the UK!
Re: The Ireland Question
Interesting piece from Cricket Europe about the continued presence of Zim as a Full Member and the apparent whittling away of FM privileges.

Re: The Ireland Question
Sorry for the late reply folks, yes I think we can all agree that Ireland and zimbabwe should be playing each other to a greater degree across all formats- but the question is how can this happen with the board declining all CI's invites? I personally feel that the best way to fix this, would be for the ICC to organize a full 3-format series between the sides in a neutral venue (Either in the UAE or preferably in Aus/NZ which will help World Cup preparations)
Yes, I remember the tour in 2010 but to be fair Ireland have matured to a great extent since then; regardless of the fact that Rankin was lost towards the end of last year to the English.
And I'd also like to know, why Zimbabwe chooses not to play some of their best players when they go on tour? By best I'm referring to the likes of Chigumbura, Sean ervine and Coventry.
Cheers
Jonathan

Chigumbura dropped, Coventry hasn't been a regular selection for ages. Sean Ervine not available, hasn't been for nearly a decade now...Jonathan2305 wrote: And I'd also like to know, why Zimbabwe chooses not to play some of their best players when they go on tour? Re: The Ireland Question
Ireland is ahead in the one day game but not by much, Zim lack experience and composure. But the current Zim is a test side, it was put together as such and they play a lot of 4 day games. However, they still suffer from lack of composure. The WI tour made me angry because on one hand it didn't showcase Zim strengths and on the other it showed me that it's time we move past the current generation. They are capable but are mentally weak whereas Ireland have big game performers. Overall though, given that the Zim game has no money and plays little, their true level is hidden for now. I frivolous argument I know but I really believe it.
