not blameing the poms here bud or blameing the county sides for giving him a go all power to him ...

but please playing for one country one week then claiming you would like to qualifiy for another the next week is just making a mockery of the concept .....

he should just stick to playing county cricket and the T20 career he was talking about and make himself some good money ....
I'm not really the gloating type, not that there's much to shout about in the England camp. They haven't played especially consistently, they've just been less bad than Australia for much of the series.

The thing with qualifying for England is that his move to play domestic cricket ahead of international cricket is obviously a financial one. By representing England, a player maximises his earning potential. As a British passport holder, he'd got a connection to England, regardless of how removed it is. This has been occurring for so, so many years and it's not as straightforward as saying a player has to absolutely nail his colours to the mast early in his career.

Let's not kid ourselves. He's never coming back.

He will only come back if he fails to make the grade.

It is a real shame.

Match was only a friendly so this is the best I can do:

Appears Jarvis also fielded as a sub on the last day of the Championship match yesterday.

Thank you both. Won't take him long to break into the top XI, just a shame that the season's nearly over. :)
