yeah, I felt this despression a bit last time i was here. It's such a complex issue ...so when you try to follow a thread, hearing everyone's view it really is understandable that it gets tiring.

still, having recently bumped into some old rugger-loving freinds - all who now talk endlessly about ABs, Wallabies or Boks (all good - i like watching them too - with a personal penchant for France but i cannot get passionate about these teams) - it reminds me why i still keep a half-eye on Zim cricket 8-)

It makes me wonder where the newly formed players union (much trumpeted etc. etc.) is in all this? Shouldn't they be on the phone to Tim May or whoever is in charge of FICA these days...

You can have all the unions you like, if there is no money there is no money. ZC are by no means perfect, but even with good administration ZC would be hard-strapped for cash. The wider economic issues of the country and of world cricket are constantly working against ZC.
Neil Johnson, Alistair Campbell, Murray Goodwin, Andy Flower (w), Grant Flower, Dave Houghton, Guy Whittall, Heath Streak (c), Andy Blignaut, Ray Price, Eddo Brandes

No news whatsoever on franchise cricket? This really is a pretty miserable state of affairs :(

Nearly December, and absolutely ZERO word of when we're going to see some cricket. So depressing. I don't know about you chaps, but I'm personally quite gutted that Duffin, Lamb and Ewing have retired. They could have added some serious input to the (Hopefully) younger players coming through. But cricket is a payed sport, and if the money isn't there, it's more than understandable if they want to persue another financial path. Just...it's a shame :(

Like everyone else, i am gutted and disappointed that our domestic season has not started nor have we heard any news coming in from the camp. I really miss the discussions on franchise teams, stats and local happenings. All we can do is hope and hurt deep down....
