The guy heading up the ZCPA really has his head switched on as it's,makes great sense to allocate part of the money to ensure players can be paid in the future, he should work for ZC :D

However even if ZC climb down I would bet on some of that money that would be set aside to disappear :(

ZC are being challenged by the players union and I guess the logical thing to do for ZC would be to find a weak link in the players union offer a bribe or split them along racial lines ',Oops that's not possible because the main members are essentially black Zimbabweans and Taylor is the only white player in the core of the union. So what they need to is to split them up and offer individuals and then that will weaken the strength of the Union. If the players union keep they cards close to the chest they will be able to out smart these money hungry ZC admins who will do anything to loot the funds.

Yes, and it is heartening to see the big 5 are together on this one: BRMT, HM, Vusi, Elton and Pro. Looks like there is already an attempt by ZC to show these 5 in a group of their own and the rest being kind of held for ransom by them. As long as the players are united (impressed by them so far) let us see this run its full course.

You have to admire BRMT's loyalty to Zimbabwe he could be earning a lot more money if he took that county contract with Hampshire and have a more stable life for his family but he is so loyal and wants to lead his Country ......

The other guys also are very loyal but haven't had their loyalty tested as much as they wouldn't have attracted such offers or have the opportunities to head abroad ........

A players fund is a good idea. The money needs to be held on trust for them so it can't be stolen. I think it might be fair to quibble over the %, because I am not sure 25% is the right number, but the funds need to be held so that they can be assured on some pay. Too much garbage, too many excuses and too many rows.

Conant, the odd thing about Kanengoni-Malinga's 'clearing' of ZC is that the words apparently attributed to her are exactly those supplied to us by ZC/Chingoka in response to our line of questioning. Word for word. I didn't want to say anything until our piece was published today, but how exactly is government clearing ZC of alleged wrongdoing by reading out a ZC statement?

Great work Liam and Tristan, these were the exact things missing for ages. Will this change anything? At least this is the most high profile opening of the pandora's box till date. Let us see how this goes...

Whoa, guys... I was just interested that nobody had commented yet that's all, and we normally interested in such articles.

Googly, just because I sided with HHM on a number of issues doesn't mean I endorse all his views. I was the very first on this forum to tangle with him, and I never backed down to this day. Divergent opinion is healthy.

The ZC leadership might very well be accused of poor leadership or mismanagement but nobody has yet to prove outright theft which is largely alleged in these forums. The ICC cleared them when the accusations were more vehement, now I don't see what's in it for them or their interest to keep the current board in place.

Anyway, Financial issues are by no means my forte which is why you will find me mum, bring on the cricket and teams, I will be vocal and stick to my points. And no, I still don't get all the hate on hhm. Get be absurd sometimes, but why would you be offended by hhm if you aren't by zimdoggy and Googly in his first few days here?

Noted, Liam. Government, as you know, is stupid. On another note, Temba Mliswa says "no way a Minister can buy a bank with clean money in this economy". Aah, life gets interesting.
