That would be heartbreaking. I would guess Richie would stay on as the keeper of choice and no. 7 batsman. Regis would get in the 15 squad and push the openers and Richie. It seems to be a shootout between Raza and Chigs for no. 6 with Waller losing out unless he mounts a serious challenge in his remaining matches. He will remain in squad contention though, along with Maruma Sr. 3,4 and 5 with Hami, BRMT and Willaims - looking quite safe. Finally, we have battle for batting positions!Jemisi wrote:Regis is keeping and making big runs, looks to be edging Richmond out.

There was talk of them declaring when Razza reached 200 (he was lucky to survive the last ball of the day, looked fairly adjacent to me!), but really no reason for them to, they could easily let him bat on and see if he could make an even bigger score. A day and a half should be lots of time to get Rocks out

Raza has every chance of breaking the 250 runs barrier.

On this form, I'd have Regis in there somewhere. Hami, Taylor, Williams are our best 3,4,5 by some margin. Waller does need some runs, Vusi is nearing the end of selectorial patience. Real question is the spinner for me. Don't really know who to pick.CrimsonAvenger wrote:That would be heartbreaking. I would guess Richie would stay on as the keeper of choice and no. 7 batsman. Mutumbami's averaging nearly 70 - he's not doing badly.
It's tough to pick a middle order right now. There's not enough room for all of Williams, Waller, Raza, Chakabva, Chigumbura and Mutumbami.
Raza could open though.

According to John Ward, who should know, the record for the youngest Zim player to score a FC century is held by, wait for it ... Friday Kasteni.
From the match report.Welch clearly had his eye on a century, which would have made him the youngest to achieve the feat in Zimbabwean first-class cricket, the record set by Friday Kasteni at 17 years and 11 days.

1000 FC runs for Fighting Kaia.
Re: [Match Thread] Pro50 & Logan Cup: Eagles v Rocks
Quietly having a good season is Kaia, believe is his 4th half century now. Only 22, he's someone we may be talking about more in the future.
