Overall< I'm definitely sad at the demise of the Rocks, but the 1 positive will be that the standard will undoubtedly be higher.

Re: The John Ward column
We need to get Cremer back.
Re: The John Ward column
Cremer is ZC's biggest blunder. Potentially a world class leggie, and he can bat a bit. Very surprised that they haven't got him back into the fold. I just wonder sometimes if there is any will left. Someone surely can talk some sense into them???????????

Is Prosper Utseya still the best spinner in Zimbabwe ?? Should he be selected in all 3 formats ???
I don’t think Prosper is quite the bowler he was – in any case he was always more of a one-day defensive bowler. I personally would like to see the selectors look at some more attacking options, such as John Nyumbu or Natsai Mushangwe, who have looked more impressive from what I have seen of them in the Logan Cup this season, especially in the Test matches. If we can play two specialist spinners in the one-day matches, that would be great, but Sean Williams is doing a sound job there so it may not be possible.
What are your thoughts on Nick Welch? Is he ready for higher honours?
Nick Welch looks a very mature player for his age with a pretty good technique, a good range of strokes and a good temperament. For higher honours I would say Zimbabwe A certainly, but it would be a risk throwing a 16-year-old into full international cricket so soon. It may work, but those who know him better would be able to judge better than I can when is the right time.

Can you ask John if there a possibility of more cricket being played before the SA/Australia visit in August, or will there be a couple months of sitting idle?
