Anything less than 200 against this AFG side won't earn any respect from my viewpoint. Shingi has a decent batting average. Can he at least help us cross 160?brmtaylor.com admin wrote:What's a "respectable" (and I use that term very loosely given the calibre of the opposition we are playing) score from here? 160?

And the demolition is complete. A loss by 100 runs. Disgraceful.

Their skipper should get the man of the match here. And Raza the series, probably.

Lucky the series wasn't televised... should hopefully escape the attention of the cricket media.

we were arrogant. we didn't play our full strength team and after the big win in game 2 they got very complacent.

Looks like we swept all the individual awards of the series.
MoMs: Raza, Williams, Hammy, Tiripano
MoS: Raza.
The series scoreline 2-2.
Goes to show, our efforts were about individual brilliance, theirs was about teamwork.

And I agree with that completely.Jemisi wrote:we were arrogant. we didn't play our full strength team and after the big win in game 2 they got very complacent.

Absolutely Disgraceful. Proved why we are the laughing stock of the Cricketing world. No chance in the SA/Aus series.

Re: [Match Thread] Zimbabwe v Afghanistan, 4th ODI
Figured i'd just copy and paste my last comment from the 3rd ODI- most of it still seems relevant. We lost because of the batsmen not making enough runs. Hammy giving away his wicket for an easy catch, Williams the same, Taylor running himself out.
We lost because the bowlers were impotent. Some mediocre to poor balls amazingly getting a mishit and out.
We lost because the fielders were shit, at least 3 simple catches dropped.
Oh and the run out of the Afghan wasn't out-.
We lost not because we are incapable of beating the Afghans- we have shown that already. But we lost because we(the team) mentally started with arrogance and complacency- the non-batters swanning around preening themselves, reading newspapers and taking little interest in the game.
I can safely say that tomorrow i expect us to be beaten comprehensively
