Permanently ban Bavuma Rabada
Re: Permanently ban Bavuma Rabada
Just remember that bavuma_rabada is an expert troller. He doesn't care about Zimbabwean cricket or even believe most of what he says. He just comes by here to get a reaction, which to his credit, he is very good at getting.

I've found it hard to ignore the 90 % of **** which is swamping the forum outside the match threads, getting involved in the tussles does not generally appeal to me, and I don't like myself when I eventually do. In my forum infancy I have indeed used the option to alert admin to posts which crossed my lines of tolerance but soon stopped because it only lead to more displeasure and things tended to quiet down anyway with time. I'm not so sure now.
I'm wondering if I really want to be associated with what this forum seems to stand for at this point of time: endless mud-slinging. The surge in traffic is about to bury what this forum used to stand for (for me at least). I will not leave because there is no better place to gather up information and gossip or "talk" to fellow suffering fans on a match day, but I'll try not to get too involved any more.

Re: Permanently ban Bavuma Rabada
The forum is an inanimate object. It can never be nasty. People are nasty, and they don't become nasty (or fail to exercise restraint) overnight or because of someone else. They have always been nasty. It's very misleading to imply that this is a development of the last few months because there are examples of this over the years, countless in the last 24 months, large tracts of which I was not a part of - heck I could pick out just one month of those 24 and ask you how did you "survive" just that one month but seem to struggle "survive" these two. Just because you condoned it then and chose not to highlight it or take offence - when you really should have - does not meant that nastiness wasn't there or overflowing. It would be pointless for me to make references - of which there are several - that would simply beg to be deleted or cause needless debate and anger, so from a personal perspective just accept that you were selective about when and to what you chose to identify a fault. What I will not accept is some kind of innocence o rmoral high ground on the part of certain people who routinely commented on those very same threads which carried unacceptable statements and phrases without even blinking an eye, to the point of lauding those messages and their bearers.
