I'm not sure that you could give it to Hammy, I mean the guy was dropped from the team not so long ago.

So it's either Raza or Williams for me and because Raza is horribly out of nick I would pick Williams.

I'd like Willy but can you pick a guy who is so fickle ??

I still think Hami doesn't want the job fulltime, surely he would have been given the gig before now he has stepped in as captain numerous times over the last decade I think if he wanted the job he would have had a shot at it before now .....

What's everyone think about Cremer ??

Being a captain is not just about being a senior player. It is about being able to make the bold decisions, lead from the front, and be the kind of person who the players all will rally around. Rousing the team in the field, and keeping them happy off the field.

Only one player in the Zim team does all those things. Raza. He is the only logical choice for a captain.

There is going to be a lot of pressure on him now to take it. No doubt the power brokers in Zim cricket would want him to be captain. The Zim captaincy job must be the hardest in World Cricket. You'd have to really want the job to take it on.

Credit to Chigumbura in the last two games. Sure the batters did a great job, but the totals still had to be defended.

Hamilton was the skipper in one of them :)

Raza would be my choice. As mentioned above, Masakadza seems like a reluctant captain but he would be a good selection too.

I think that would be an inspired call. He's the only automatic selection we have now given Raza's recent loss of form and Masakadza's recent omissions. Cremer would be a good captain I think.

Chigumbura should have done it after the afganistan loss in home or in the away series so that a new captain would have captained the entire bangladesh and west indies series ....but still good decision by chigumbura to save his place.....

Raza, hammy, williams, cremer, waller (for t20s),will all be considered

but my choice is Hammy (for tests)
willow (for ODi's)
Raza (for t20's)

Tuarai Muzarabani must be the obvious decision.
