You are comparing a superstar with the one who had just began his career. Moor is new, youngsters deserve some time and he has done not too bad, his contemporary Chakabva, Mutumbami has given many chances, but failed to do even half of what Moor did.

Your Correct statement would have been "If Sri Lanka can drop Chandimal cause of lack of form surely Zim could drop Hamilton Masakadza "

He is just a big useless in the team, getting chance just for being senior and experience
Maybe you should go easy on that Castle Masakadza is ranked in the top ten batsmen in the world. There is no dropping him. But Moor should really step up. And with Chakabva been called up clearly the selectors are running of patience with him.

1. H Masakadza (for subcontinent experience)
2. Mire
3. C Ervine
4. Williams
5. Moor (WK) (floater, if 3 wickets are out within 30 overs, he will come at 5, otherwise Raza at 5)
6. Raza
7. Waller
8. Chibhabha
9. Cremer (C)
10. Chatara
11. Mpofu

During 30-50 overs, Raza, Waller & Chibhabha are my hitters.

Hamilton Masakadza has enough experience, now only one thing he needs to do us follow AB Develliers and retire from the game, leave the place to the youth.

Take Chibhabha either at 1 or 8, he will still be unable to score a ton, if he plays 100 matches more :D

Actually, it will be quite tricky to put the youngsters to open in subcontinent. Raza is an opening option. I want to find out whether H Masakadza can provide dividends to the number of matches invested on him. I'll give him 1/2 matches. If he doesn't score then others will slot in.

Chibhabha hasn't performed like a top oprder batsman. I've taken him more for his bowling, as an allrounder who can come late in the order and play some shots. But he has to perform otherwise youngsters will slot in.

Ranking on top 10 doesnt means he is scoring tons and 50s in every match. If u look at by statistics, he is out of form since india tour 2016 and still struggling , and he haven't score big to pull out the team like a star batsman.

Keeping him in the team, just for his ranking is simply rubbish concept. Even the management knows Chakabva & Mutumbami are just guest of few matches, like they had been throughout their career. Time to bring in Ryan Murray or Joylord Gumbie, who is having good going at the under 19 level and domestic cricket

Well I strongly question that rankings scheme. One must remember Masakadza's averages are boosted by his minnow-bashing from back in the day. Now at the twilight of his career, he hasn't even done that in a while.

So that 28 ish average is really worth about 25. And if that gets you into the top 10 as a batsmen, then I suppose Chaminda Vaas was pretty close to being a top 10 rated batsmen in his day as well.

That's top 10 in T20I rankings, not ODIs. He has been our most consistent in that format. But we don't play enough of that format, so no room for improvement. Having said that, quoting the T20I ranking while addressing the ODI series is anyway immaterial as his ODI form has been extremely patchy.

Well even that is questionable. Would anyone argue that there are at most 9 better T20I batsmen in the entire world than him? His T20I stats are actually decent, but again its been mostly against the likes of Ireland and Netherlands. But even in that format, most of the good batters are averaging around 35.
