This Scotland result is brilliant.

I suspect if you lose 2 games in this tournament you are out of contention. If Ireland beat the Dutch which looks like the case then this is a great day for them. Got a feeling we are going to have a situation in our group where the 3 qualifying teams having lost 1 game each. This is actually not ideal if you think about it. There will be more upsets I think. The West Indies might lose a game in their group
I'm telling you if we put up a big score on Tuesday Afghanistan will crack under the pressure. They could basically be out of contention by Tuesday.

We need to beat Scotland though.

Ya this result is a big surprise. We hadn’t even considered Scotland The Brave.
If you’d told me ten years ago I would be making a comment about Scottish cricket.....
The world has gone mad.

Are you going to get along to a few of the games?
Re: [Series Thread]: 2018 ICC World Cup Qualifier | Non-Zim Matches
Afghans have been arrogant and overconfident going into the tournament...Hence the result

I’ve been already. Watched a bit of Ireland Netherlands.
An 85 year old scoreboard tucked behind the trees and updated once every 10 overs. Black plastic sheeting on the sidescreens. If the legit cost of upgrading this ground was more than a grand I will kiss my arse.
The 50 spectators banished to the far side of the field and not allowed near the Club house, toilets or bar.
Three quarters of the field, parking and facilities set aside for VIP, of which there were about 15, none of whom I’ve ever seen. When you glance into the “VIP” parking and you see 10 cars, the most valuable of which is about $900 you can only laugh.
Very thick outfield that they never bothered to level, but a beautiful batting deck.
There was a beer tent with about 15 people in it. ZC barman wouldn’t let you buy a beer and turn round and watch the cricket without pouring it into a plastic cup. I saw someone walk up to Trevor Penny who was wandering around the boundary to greet him and security told him to move away.
Watched some decent cricket though. These two sides should have played at Sports Club.

Old Hararians I'm guessing. Any photos? I'd be interested in seeing what the ground and bar looks like if you've got any.

I watched 0’Brian absolutely crush a cover drive that stopped b fore the boundary, the outfield was that thick. When it rains like this you have to cut every second day.
I hope they remembered to dig out the white ants’ nests on that outfield! It would cost $5, so they may not have.
If it dries up and someone lands on one of those it’s going to do some real damage, they’re like concrete. Eeeish these ZC fellows are the pits, how has this happened?
We need a crying emoji.

I should have taken some today. There were some ex PE boys there very disgruntled that they couldn’t access the Club house. Man, back in my day this would have been a spectacle and a fun day of cricket, with much banter and beers. They sure know how to f*^k things up.
I heard a good story of Houghton insisting on opening in a Club game against Queens or BAC, not his usual slot, because they had Patterson (West Indian) opening for them and he was pissed off because they felt they’d fudged the rules by having him in their side and he blitzed a double. In those days Club cricket was 60 overs.
