Re: 32 Man International Squad Announced
ZC never learn. in my opinion they are abunch of idiots. With 27 days to go before a high profile game against quality opposition, you would exepect them to select about 16guys to focus on and ensure they are fine tuned, and that the coaches will give them more individual attention, instead they include a bunch of none-entities.
This is not child's play. What do you expect to gain by selecting a host of options. If these guys were not even considered for the Intercontinental Cup, how can they be considered for matches of this calibre. To be fair their selection includes the bulk of players we expect to be there. However, I don't think Williams would chose to take a break instead of test/prove himself against this quality of opposition. Andunless Waller is injured and Ewing hasn't cleared his position with ZC following the rebel standoff, something doesn't look right. Perhaps some kind of conspiracy. Are the Tuskers are being punished for taking the Logan Cup.

At the very least they seem to drop by occasionally. How much attention they pay to what we're rambling about.. well, Keith Dabengwa's occasional appearances in the side may well be a hint.bayhaus wrote:I hope since you get the press release that quick they also listen to what ZCF say at least some of the time!

I've seen a pic, he's definately a mulinion.eugene wrote:I am glad to see no Matsi or Dabengwa in the side. Is Brian Vitori white or is he a black italian?
This squad is stupid, what's the point? It just causes anger to ppl like Waller or Ewing or even matsi.

no vermuelan even thuogh he train with the squad
Re: 32 Man International Squad Announced
I must say this squad does seem kind of pointless. There are too many (to quote myself here) "irrelevant fringe players". I joked earlier about them selecting Tafadzwa Kamungozi - but looking at this squad that selection doesn't seem far fetched at all. I haven't even heard of some of these guys and I follow the domestic scene somewhat closely.
Neil Johnson, Alistair Campbell, Murray Goodwin, Andy Flower (w), Grant Flower, Dave Houghton, Guy Whittall, Heath Streak (c), Andy Blignaut, Ray Price, Eddo Brandes

I know Waller is currently playing club cricket in Holland. Ewing has played a lot in the UK over the years, so I'd imagine he is there.

I hope that man is of Nigerian origin. How wonderful it would be to have on of those 6-feet brutes learning cricket and bowling very fast for us!bayhaus wrote:Tochi Enwerem - with a name like THAT you are surely destined for good things! will be affectionately known as "The Torch" for bringing the heat and setting the pitch on fire.
