Without wanting to turn this into another Ervine/Balance thread, you understand why these guys wouldn't want to play when even members of the team are leaving.

Word. Completely demoralising for a supporter. Can only imagine the effect this will have on the team. Or the Rhinos team for that matter - a team he was supposed to captain...

Calm down guys! Like one of us said, let's hope he can catch a plane from Aus to NZ and get a piece of the action. I'm pretty sure Zim Cricket will work something out with his club. Afterall, if Sakib can play County and International at the same time, then club cricket shouldn't be a hindrance!

It will probably improve his game, maybe a few good scores might draw the attention of a State or two as well and he'll have a better time than Andy. Seriously when on song do we have other players who are more eyecatching than Vusi. Anyone?

If your good enough to make money elsewhere then you would take it.

Well, there is that bloke who scored 300 in 3 games. Sibanda is more classical when playing, for example, an on drive but when Taylor gets going he really does get going. And I'm not just talking about a fluent scoring rate but also the array of strokes.

I agree about catching a flight though; it shouldn't be ruled out. I do understand the thinking behind only selecting players from the domestic circuit though, otherwise it might encourage players to play abroad and weaken the domestic leagues further. But I reckon Sibanda is too good to leave out of the Test side in his current form.

Must agree that Taylor does seem to have a lot of strokes. That 145 ranks highest for me. Unfortunately there are few batsmen in world cricket who walk down the pitch and despatch spinners with aplomb like KP, and Vusi is one of them. He dominates the bowler and makes them feel dominated. Taylor makes you feel outsmarted. He really looks clumsy, and I think that's why the opposition always feel like they've got him under control but before you know it he's hit 50 from 40 and you wonder how.

To make this easier, of most batsmen you know, whom does Taylor bat like, and likewise Vusi?

Just announced, he's leaving to play grade cricket in Australia. They think this rules him out of playing in the New Zealand tour as he won't be playing in the Logan Cup.

Probably not surprising news, ZIMDOGGY I think mentioned this a few days ago. But still, a big blow as he's been good at the top of the order.

I am pretty sure Zimdoggy mentioned it in the middle of September.
