So they were just feigning (Vusi and butch) ignorance and hoping? even if so, that's half the issue solved, and vusi is to blame - now how about the the policy stating one has to be domestically contracted. If we know that we know whose effigy to burn!!!aydee wrote:A No Objection Certificate from a player's home board is a necessity if a player to appear in any foreign domestic cricket. Presumably this didn't apply in Sibanda's case, as he was only playing club cricket. Taylor would have required a NOC from ZC in order to be available to play for Wellington.

Re: Vusi Left out of Squad, Matsikenyeri returns
it all unfolds slowly... Had sinking feeling this was going to happen.
1. Who published the squad with Vusi cos I know for a fact that stuff is not uploaded on their site without 3 signatures.
2. So they let Vusi fly in from Aus
3. Then how did he play for the Rhinos if he didnt have a contract?
4. The Joy in the NZ camp...
5. So now the team find out today that the whole batting order will be reaaranged. Tino batted well with Vusi. Ham at one with Tino kinda spells disaster in regards to a speedy start off the block.
6. Trade offs happening at ZC.
7. Vusi was set up.
8. I think we seriously need a players association, didnt campbell mention something like this when he had his spat with Tibba?

Bullshit!
Vusi just leave, you deserve better than this. It's better for you to play grade cricket in Sydney suburbs than to put up with these clowns. Move your family to Australia, soon enough you will get a state contract and a county contract soon after. Murray Goodwin did the same and he survived. Sure it's better to play Test cricket but not for these fools. Remember, no one will blame you. I won't.

Classic ZC. Just when you thought that things were moving forward. What I really don't get is the double standards that ZC operates with. Not long ago, Sean Ervine literally walked into the World Cup squad - no domestic contract - didn't even play a game.
Vusi played for his country, misses a T20 tourney and is left out of the squad. If Vusi was to be left out of the Tour then it should have been only for T20I matches. I don't see how do performances in a T20 tourney influence Test selection. But then again, this is ZC.
Take a bow.

The mind boggles at the stupidity of ZC and its so called committee i think its about time the player union be formed. What is stopping the formation of a national player union ? .

Re: Vusi Left out of Squad, Matsikenyeri returns
well, for me i can simply reduce your three to one; #8! Mutizwa and Price for me!zimfan1 wrote:means there are three decisions to make for the Test
the reason Vusi is such a loss - in some ways even more than Taylor would be - is Zim's dearth of half-decent openers. At least he's shown in his last three tests that he's taken some sort of mental step forward...he's absolutely still flawed, but even if a make-shift opener manages a score it will not inspire a fraction of the half-assed confidence Vusi now does... Hammie as an opener has an average of 8 in six innings!! Vusi's goes up to 30 in 10 (with a rookie at the other end - rather than Campbell or Carlisle who guided Hammie) and has scored his highest test score as an opener. Hammie = absolute make-shift!! Taylor (and Matsi); 12 innings and average just below 20 = absolute make-shift!! HM and DRMT will survive failure - but will not please fans. However, if the selectors want to kill a career they may open with Matsi, Chaks or Forster (and be done with them once and for all!)
