This is a great opportunity for the spearhead of our pace attack. Central Districts would only take him on if they thought he could win matches for them. He has won matches for Zimbabwe so why not Central Districts also.

Yes there is, plenty of it. But then again, Elton did get a short stint for Northants sometime back for the limited overs matches. Except with his form at the time, just like Sakib of Bangladesh, he had earned it. What gives weight to your argument is that Jarvis has done nothing to deserve being looked at twice by any overseas side, yet he's got a chance.

aydee, Vusi's case is different because he first played Grade cricket in Aus at least four years ago. It's a non-ICC recognised level. Mire&Kasteni are also involved in lower club leagues there so apple to oranges there.

My feeling is that after the tour we had, and if you listened to Grant Flower's interview as well, a lot of our players need to gain exposure in these conditions. So I think one of Heath&Grant must've had a chat with one of the contacts to organise this learning experience for Jarvis. It could've been Mpofu, Shingi or Vitori, but for various reasons, and the obvious one since this is New Zealand, and it's possibly be a favor - they wouldn;t have looked past Jarvis!

It's a good thing that at least one of our seamers(regardless of race), a promising young fast bowler who actually has a good chance of playing a huge role in the future of Zimbabwe cricket, has been presented with this opportunity. Someone above described Taylor's stint as being succesful. Well, if Jarvis has the bowler's equivalent, that'll be horrible. By that I mean overall, Taylor's spell was poor!
He was 4th highest run scorer in the tournament! No one is consistent in T20, the format doesn't allow it.

Iwas glad to see Jarvis exchange some words with Gupitall a cat who was seeing the ball like soccerball. I LOVE that kind of attitude an belief in self.

When i watced the last t20 jarvis was the only one who looked like a fast bowler, both in pace and control.

Although i did see something in Meth despite how awkward he looks...he did move it, just wasnt as axcurate enough for the pace he bowls...i think a good coach can help him.

shingi was rubbish, had no control,

elton is elton, hes a second hand bowler and he knows it, you cant blame him as he is a batsman first foremost.

my only concern is, will NZ try and poach him??? will he like it TOO much??

hes our number 1 we cant afford tolose him.

Thankfully there is a long waiting period before he would be eligible to play for another national side. If there weren't I imagine everyone would be lining up for Jarvis to spearhead their attack.

Good grief! Their coach himself highlights that he was signed out of desperation!

-Travis Friend a genuinely quick bowler(could also bat) who could generate a lot of bounce at the kind of pace that troubles batsmen couldn't cut it at Derbyshire
-Anthony Ireland who had a combination of control, pace, and could swing as rarely as Jarvis does, is idling at Midllesex

These two bowlers were a better package than Jarvis, and knew what to do with the new ball. Must Zimbabwe continue to fail because it's carrying a substandard bowler who is largely a liability for 90% of every match he plays!

seriously hmm shut the **** up everytime i come on this forum all i see u do is bag our players ou jarvis has earnt this, he might not be a james anderson , or a steyn but my golly u saying he cant cut it at first class level in nz and ur saying u want pyanagara and matsi in our team when they cant even cut it at first class level in zim ! ur points are annoying and predictable and honoustly i ahve started losing intrest on this forum caus all i see is you looking for arguments. like it or not jarvis is by FAR our best bowler and is a natural bowler no one else has settled down liek he has and as sumone said before he has passion and is willing to give it out to batsman. he believes in himself like the others dont , if people took a leaf outa jarvis's book we would be much more competitive. i know ur going to send me backa huge lecture now saying all ur smack crap u always say , but the stats are there buddy just look at matsis odi series , simply amazing hey

No point in my exerting myself on this one young man, particularly seeing that you arrived at your conclusions through stats.

On the back of recent developments, what I will do, however, is monitor closely the movements of the administrators..... :|
