Is there seriously no one else to open other than Prince and Joylord? Joylord will probably keep which might give Campbell preference over Madande.

I feel like Chatara has to play. Has the experience with good recent red ball form and playing in ideal conditions.

Masvaure
Gumbie
Ervine
Bennett
Williams
Myers
Campbell
Masakadza
Nyauchi
Muzarabani
Chatara
You made me realize that Ngarava might not be fit enough to bowl too many overs. Interesting to see what happens. The fact that they took so many seam bowlers suggests that he might not be 100%

Hell yah. This is real cricket...forget that T20 stuff.

Looking forward to this match. Hopefully will be enough clear weather to get a complete match!!!

Best of luck to both sides. Hope Zimbabwe bloods the new guys.
A lot of pride is on the line here. Can’t afford to be thrashed here. The PJ dynamic is interesting too. I got a feeling the fast bowlers are going to target him

It’s between Campbell and Madande for that final batsmen slot, I hope they go for Madande.
I think opening the batting and keeping wicket in Tests is quite a big ask for Gumbie, so I’m happy for Madande to play as the keeper. He has a good red ball batting record too.
I agree that it will be tough on Gumbie but he is a much better keeper than Madande (who has improved recently) I’d rather have the better keeper get the gloves in the longer format. Madande is prone to mistakes and you don’t get chances often at test level so they will be costly.

PJ will score runs, guranteed.

Our bowlers will trouble their batters no doubt. Will be our batting which will be the true test.

It will be wet, dank, windy and overcast. Horrible conditions for any batter.

PJ has been awful for Ireland so far. So of course he will have a great match against us

He is very lucky to be in the Irish side, you're right though, century incoming!

Only a 50% chance of rain from Day 3 and less after...even if the first 2 days are washed out...there should be a result in this game.

I'd wager that there won't even be 700 runs scores in these conditions in the entire match. Will probably be the lowest aggregate score Test in history perhaps.

I can't really believe this game is on. So long between tests. The threat from the moving ball makes it a toss up. if our guys get it in the right areas they will knock some over. Hopefully our batsmen can hang in there long enough to make some decent scores.

Larry and Roy deserve a go, PJ deserves some chin music to keep him honest. Josh little prioritising white ball is a positive for us. Williams will do himself a mischief in the field and come off injured

PJ won't do much. He has been terrible and Zimbabwe should be able to get him out early.

The worst part here is that this is just a one off test. Should have been 2 tests at the very least.
