31 year old Nigel Bonyongwe cashes in today with a century against some 16 year olds. Great achievementsecretzimbo wrote: ↑Mon Aug 19, 2024 10:23 am30 year old Clive Chitumba hitting an unbeaten century for an 'Under 23' side against a U17 team full of 16 year olds. Hope he's proud!

I don't have a problem with this. I play club cricket, I'm 35 and I play against some very talented 16 and 17 year olds and I value the wickets I take and the runs I score as much as those taken against other 35 year olds.

Do you gaslight as an under 23 player, though? In a competition specifically for under 17’s?

Ya fair point, but important for the young guys to measure themselves against adults at some point.secretzimbo wrote: ↑Tue Aug 20, 2024 2:05 pmDo you gaslight as an under 23 player, though? In a competition specifically for under 17’s?

Yeah, the only issue is the name of the team!
It's good for U17s to be playing against some more experienced players as well as their peers, also good that these guys are trying to fill their boots and not taking it easy.
